By the way, he failed one of his checkrides (at Colgan) specifically for getting too slow (over 10 kts) during a go-around.

You really think so? I must have missed that constitutional amendment that guarantees all pilots the right to commute to work. No one can force you to live at a specific city/domicile per se, however the jumpseating privileges and the choice of commuting to work is something our unions negotiated and got many years ago; I don't think it's something that is set in law. Therefore, we need to make sure we get to keep those privileges...

How about we, as fellow aviators, refrain from bringing up all the dirt on a pilot who is not here to defend himself (and herself)? Let the NTSB decide what happened and please remember that both the captain's and the fo's friends and relatives might be reading this and other forums...

Maybe I'm oversensitive because the captain of the Corporate Airlines flight mentioned here earlier was a good friend of mine but I've always felt that pilots in general seem to be very quick to jump to conclusions when it comes to other pilots' misfortunes...

Nothing personal "find....job" - this applies to us all...

Just my ¥1/2

I won't comment, but the Public docket from the NTSB trial has all the information that you would ever want to read about CJC 3407.
