I actually just saw this idea on another forum and i think its a good idea.
The poster suggested that those of us who dont wear our hats wear them on trips on September 11th as a way to show honor those pilots who lost their lives on that day. I was thinking about starting to wear mine anyways so I will start that day. Who is with me? It does look way more professional and after all, we are airline pilots.

Professional's care about their appearance. Walking around airport terminals, I see pilots with wrinkled shirts, collars unbuttoned, severely overweight, earphones on. Hat is the least of our problems. I don't own one, nor do I care to, I'm not a hat guy, makes me look less credible in my opinion. Not trying to hijack the post, I think it is a great idea to honor the fallen ones from that tragic day, but fly2002, that was a low blow comment.

The only guys who wear the limo driver hat are bald guys or check airmen...

I actually wouldn't be against wearing one if the hat that we use wasn't so cheap, generic, and ugly.
