Fellow Pilots,

The official results of the TA ratification have been certified. 91.43% of Pinnacle pilots participated in the ballot of which 57.71% voted in opposition of the Tentative Agreement. The TA presented by the Pinnacle Master Executive Council has failed the pilot ratification vote.

After an arduous four and a half year negotiation process, Pinnacle pilots concluded that despite certain job security enhancements, work rule improvements, pay increases and a signing bonus, the overall agreement did not achieve an acceptable standard to warrant a yes vote. Work will begin immediately on collecting the necessary data to provide guidance to the MEC as we prepare to return to the negotiating table.

The MEC would like to thank the Pinnacle pilot group for their dedication and patience during this ratification process. More information will be forthcoming shortly as to how we proceed forward from this point in order to reach an acceptable agreement.

In Unity,

Captain Scott Erickson
Master Executive Council, Chairman
Necessary data will be collected to produce guidance for this MEC and negotiators to return to the negotiating table ?

Is this the same group who rubber stamped this wholly inferior agreement by kicking the can down the street to the membership ?

This is part of the problem. It will be difficult as this group of so-called "leaders" has almost certainly lost credibility with management as those who posses spines and will be treated as such.

Eagle pilots made the mistake of not holding the then MEC accountable for wasting the memberships time with inferior garbage in '97 when our first agreement failed.

I hope history doesn't repeat itself and new people whould be brought in who have some credibility.

That's the plan.

I for one nominate The DTW Captain Rep who voted no...it would seem he would be a good candidate for MEC chair--he has experience on the MEC, yet he voted in the interest of his pilots.

A No vote on a TA is no less than a vote of "no confidence" in the NC and the MEC members who voted Yes...no more and no less...

I disagree. The MEC did the right thing by passing it on to the pilots to vote. How do you think the NMB would have reacted when the MEC did not pass the vote to the pilot group?

This turd shouldn't have even been a close vote.

The negotiating committee needs to be replaced, as they said many many times " We tried, this was all we could get."

We need to hire PROFESSIONAL negotiators and have the MEC give them guidance. I don't know the training our negotiators get from ALPA but I know its no where near the amount of experience a professional has.

The Economy is turning around, things can only get better. I would settle for an industry average contract at this point.

Your kidding right? This guy is the most arrogant person I've ever met. I think we need to keep the level headed SE in the MEC chair, just get some new blood on the NC. By the way, SE was not happy with this TA.

Trust me, I'm happy this TA got voted down, I for one was a swing voter, one day I would be voting YES, then other days I would be voting NO. I voted NO last night at about 10pm, I just couldn't sell half the pilot group out. Also, I truly believe management was just throwing a little money at us to see if we would bite. Now, just because it got voted down, I don't think we 9E pilots need to make any irrational dicisions i.e. voting in CS from DTW.

Some things that need to change to get me to vote Yes.

1.) Cola
2.) Min Pay Per Day
3.) Min 12 days off Line holders/Reserves
4.) Vaction Slide/Buffer days
5.) Better definations

I know that getting all these is a pipe dream and 9E management will never offer COLA, I'm willing to vote yes if I can just get 4 of the 5..
