THIS LETTER OF AGREEMENT is made and entered into accordance with the provisions of the Railway Labor Act, as amended, by and among REPUBLIC AIRWAYS HOLDINGS, INC., and its subsidiaries CHAUTAUQUA AIRLINES, INC., REPUBLIC AIRLINES, INC. and SHUTTLE AMERICA, INC. or any airline operating certificate hereinafter acquired by Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. (collectively, the “Company”), and the Pilots in the service of the Company, as represented by the INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF TEAMSTERS, LOCAL 747 (hereinafter referred to as the “Union”).
Unless otherwise specified, the terms used herein shall have the same meaning and intent as the terms used in the current Collective Bargaining Agreement between Chautauqua Airlines and the Pilots in the service of Chautauqua Airlines (CBA).
The parties agree to extend the duration of First Officer Pay rates for all aircraft types through year eight ( 8 ) as follows:
Terms, conditions and waivers specified by this Letter of Agreement shall not be used to establish any precedence for any Article or provision of the CBA. Any lack of enforcement or applicability of the CBA, resulting from this Agreement, shall also not be used to establish any precedent.
Once signed by both parties, this Letter of Agreement will become effective on the date of signing and will run concurrently with the agreement. The parties hereto have signed this Letter of Agreement this ____ day of September 2009.

Wow that's just crazy. My question is this going to be part of the ratified contract they're negotiating or just interim? I could possibly see this as just something quick and dirty to get the 190s going and the serious negotiation will happen with the full contract possibly in line with the mergers.
