Mesa didn't have a whole lot of CRJ flights into Denver. Are you positive it was a CRJ?

180kts is the rough air speed for the Dash-8 200 IFIRC, and knowing summers in Denver turbulence is a given. In the 2008 summer we had a flight attendant break her neck (she lived) and a captain get a concussion due to sudden severe turbulence over Larks on the arrival into DEN.

There are some new FOs on the CRJ, but they're only new to the CRJ because they used to be Dash-8 captains.

180 on the 100/200 190 on the 300 for rough air speed.

That's a good point. I forgot to take that into consideration. However, I doubt those select few are causing this alleged issue.

News flash... you would not have had to been aware of the complaint for it to be one. Who made the complaint would be none of your business.

Finally, not that you asked, but I was an ATC'er for two decades; Oakland Center (10 years), SoCal Approach (4 years), Camarillo Tower (6 years). Also a NATCA (labor union) facility rep, legislative activist, and member. Ya, I know a few "talkative sources".

This level of discourse on this board never ceases to amaze me.

Well then allow me to provide to a simple answer to his concern. What sector is he working? Maybe there is a good explanation as to why guys are slowing. I may be able to provide that explanation if I know the sector of airspace he's working.

Flying in and out of ATL for almost 2 years now and 210 to the marker was the fastest I've ever been assigned.
