Ooooo, I can so see that.

"The First Officer who landed the Boeing 767 in an Atlanta taxiway was a former *insert regional name here* pilot. He was hired with 600 hours of flight experience at his previous regional. The authorities are investigating whether this was a contributing factor to the near-miss in Atlanta."

why are you glad it wasn't connection? so we don't look crappier than we already are? yeah hopefully some mainline flight will splatter somewhere so we can feel even loftier.
Well, duh?! Of course we all make mistakes! None of us would want to have to do a carpet dance in front of a chief pilot or be investigated. A tragedy was averted, (no, NOT A SINGLE PILOT HERE would want to see anyone hurt).

So, you get what we've got here...pilots razzing each other. We blow off steam by giving one another crap...it's how we cope. This has probably been going on since Orville saw Wilbur do his first crosswind landing. Deep down, most regional pilots look up to the major guys, and the majors mostly realize the regional guys hustle their keisters off multiple times a day and usually do a pretty damn good job of it! Along the way, giving each other the rasberry as much as possible...Don't you have fellow instructors or student buddies that you call one another names or play practical jokes? Anything like that?

First of all, this has been one of the funnier threads on here in a while. Good to see some funny dialogue once in a while instead of bickering.

Second, all kidding aside...how do you land on a taxiway? I mean...a runway usually has 1 or 2 numbers at the beginning and HUUUUUGE white rectangles down the center...a taxiway is just a tiny little yellow line.
How did this happen?

I just hope when I start my trip tmr that it's as uneventful as they have been in the past. My level of experience and knowledge brings me and my pax home safe every time so far, but you never know what COULD happen.
