How long after application submission are people getting a call if Compass is interested?

I'm at 3500tt, 2500 multi, 1500 PIC with 500 Turbine 121 PIC and an ATP.

I filled out the online app on 11/3/09. I tried calling their HQ to get the name of the pilot recruiter so I didn't have to do "To whom it may concern" on my cover letter, but the operator was very insistent on not giving out the name. So I looked on the website and found the CP's name and addressed it to him.

Any info on the call back process.

For what? Fly a 175 for 24 bucks first year and $34 second year, please you can keep that job, that's a mainline aircraft being flown for some rediculous wages. 5,000 to 6,000 hours of fly time to be right seat of that thing, brother please you can keep that job...

If any pilots are interested in pursuing a possible job at Compass, please forward your resume to [name and email edited out by moderator] and he will hand deliver it to the chief pilot's office. He encourages you to submit a cover letter with your resume and complete the online application at www.compassairline.com, which is required before any resume is reviewed or interview granted. Currently, Compass is holding to ATP minimums for applicants; in the past they have been flexible on the 1,000 hours of multi time. Anyone seriously interested should complete the application very soon. If the company decides to run a class for December, they may start interviewing soon.

My point to this post is that I am not 23 years old, but I do have ATP mins. Would I be considered for a job at compass? I have all of their mins covered-- aprox 2000 total time, 1300 part 121, 1500 multi, 700 (ish) PIC, etc.

Can compass discriminate by age?

Just curious-- I'm only remotely willing to give up seniority for delusional security, but I am intrigued.
Did you take your ATP checkride?.....I took my ATP ride at 21 and was given a letter which allowed me to walk into a FSDO when I turned 23 and get my certificate....get the checkride out of the way if u didn't... otherwise noone cares about the mins!

Compass seems to be taking it to an extreme-- especially before any significant legislation gets signed into law by Comrade Obama.
Don't be bothered and don't look for any legislation to be passed. Congress has already taken care of age discrimination just as this poster has indicated:

If you get hired quit your whining...Compass has already exceeded it's whining quota.
Here's the summary....

Written in 1967, The Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, Pub. L. No. 90-202, 81 Stat. 602 (Dec. 15, 1967), codified as Chapter 14 of Title 29 of the United States Code, 29 U.S.C. § 621 through 29 U.S.C. § 634 (ADEA), prohibits employment discrimination against persons 40 years of age or older in the United States (see 29 U.S.C. § 631(a)). It also applied to standards for pensions and benefits provided by employers and requires that information about the needs of older workers be provided to the general public.
The ADEA was later amended in 1986 and again in 1991 by the Older Workers Benefit Protection Act (Pub. L. 101-433) and the Civil Rights Act of 1991 (P.L. 102-166).

Although Compass requires it, there is NOTHING regulatory that says an ATP is required to get a type rating.

Granted, it may come with a restriction, but it can still be obtained. But any restriction would easily be lifted when the pilot upgrades and would be more paperwork than anything.

I can't believe you asked about age discrimination. Compass requires the ability to get an ATP. You must be 23 to get an ATP. What's the problem?????

A lot of time in Alaska.

Let me preface this by saying that the competitive minimums, as they were emailed to me at the beginning of 2009, were 2500 TT, 1000 Turbine, 1000 PIC, so I may have exceeded them at some point, but with all the guys from the mainland who are on the street now I may not be as competitive as I was then, I still filled the app out though, hopefully something will come of it. I do exceed those however, last time I updated the book I was over by a margin and about 700 of it was 121 Turbine SIC.

I got called for interview in March 2008 but I didn't turn 23 until October, spoke with a chief pilot and he said they needed everyone to have an ATP and be 23 years old for insurance, told me to call back in October. I called back, they said reapply. I reapplied, no call.
