Default CRJ200 runup after de-ice

I know at Mesaba we do it, just wondering what other carriers do it and why it's required?

to get any possible fluids from the de ice out of the engine that may have been taken in during the process.

Not everyone does it. We never did a runup at my airline.

Not suppose to be neat. I'm just saying not every airline on this planet does a runup after deicing. No offense intended

Can anyone explain the purpose of an "Run Up" after deicing...(During the Run Up what are you looking for as far as engine indications)...My airline doesn't do it at all either. Does Bombardier recommend it? Are there any other aircraft that do it? Just wondering...I really only see Mesaba doing it...always thought it was odd...no offense.

Possibly to see if there is any VIB indications due to possibility of ICE on the Turbine blades...or just clean out any possible de-ice fluid (though I think it spins plenty fast to do it on its own at idle). We didn't do it at my present employer, but that doesn't mean anything really.

There is no guidance in the books as far as instrument indications during the runup... Just run them to 60% for 20 seconds before blast off.
