To All Employees,

I want to share with you some exciting news for all of us at Trans States Airlines. As you may have heard in our recent
town hall meetings, we have been busy looking for the best opportunity for our four aircraft currently flying for US
Airways in New York, as well as additional flying opportunities for growth. This past week we reached an agreement
with United Airlines to add six aircraft to our current fleet with them. This means that in addition to the four US Airways
aircraft, we will also retain leases on two aircraft we were originally returning to the Lessor.

These six aircraft are going to be added starting in May of this year and will fly at a minimum through September 2013.
We were able to reach an agreement that is inline with our current costs, as compared to the financial arrangements
that we had under our previous arrangement, so it made sense to reach this deal.

The first two aircraft commence service in May, one in June and the last three in late July. By August, we will have a
fleet of 22 aircraft, 17 flying for United, three flying for US Airways, and two spares to support both operations.

The positive result of reaching this agreement is a cancellation of the furloughs that were planned in March, and we
expect to recall pilots from furlough in the coming months. As you can imagine, this is quite good news that I am
pleased to be able to share with all of you.

This flying was awarded to Trans States Airlines because we were able to provide a competitive cost as well as the fact
we have seen significant improvement to our operational performance over the past year. I want to thank all of you for
playing a key role every day in our performance, clearly it was a tremendous help in getting this new business, and I
encourage you to keep it up in the coming months.

I am optimistic that as we continue to deliver a dependable, quality and safe product that provides excellent service to
our major partners, more opportunity will come our way. Please work with me to do all we can to put ourselves in a
position to win the business when the opportunity presents itself.

Congratulations on a job well done and let’s keep it up!

Got you broskis covered.

That's pretty crazy that a 145 costs the same to maintain as a SWA jet. I guess that's just part of flying old airframes.

And on the town hall meeting post... does that mean we are keeping 802, 803, and 804? From my perspective that would be okay. They were just put through heavy check for lease return and passed a test flight (802 and 803 at least). Should be able to maintain the zero DMI/NEF list for, what, a week?

+1 to whoever gets to write under the yoke cap first.

We only got 30 days on TSA metal.

UA non-rev actually ended several months before furlough...when UA went to the new listing website....that we couldn't log into.

"Ah, finally done, what a b**** of a night that was... all of my paperwork is in, my plane is out of the hangar. It's 8:00 AM, I'm out of here in 30 minutes."

-Later, watch showing 8:24-

Me: Hello?

Supervisor: Hey man, can you take 808 over? It was supposed to be on the gate 10 minutes ago.

Me: ...Yeah, sure.

"Damnit! I never get off on time. Plus the pilots are going to be p*ssed and ask me all kinds of derogatory questions."

*Ten minutes later, aircraft ready for repo*

Me: Operations, aircraft 808, looking for our gate.

US Ops: "Chatter, chatter, rabble, rabble, uhhh... yeah dawg you gon' be on Alphuuuuh fif' tane.

Me: One Five, Roger...

*Uneventful repo*

Me: Operations, 808 abeam fifteen......

Me: Operations, 808 copy......

*Ten dudes stroll out taking their sweet time, playing grab ass or looking at a cell phone*

"Okay, finally got it on the gate... Brakes set, engine two shut down, Hyd pumps off."

*DING* Baggage door open

*Click* Master Caution off

"Okay, N2 zero, APU bleed off."

*DING* AIL system 1-2 low press

*Click*

"GPU On, APU Off."

*DING* Rudder System 1-2 low press."

*Click, Click*

"APU 0%, fuel pumps off."

*DING - Click, Click, Click*

"Damnit, quit dinging!!"

"Beacon off."

Signing off gear pins...

I thought there were 27 aircraft before the loss? If so that is still a loss of 5 if they are saying 22 which with attrition makes me believe there won't be recalls. Furthermore, the flying is guaranteed till September 2013. That tells me that if I came back in June I would get what a whopping 15 months before my THIRD FURLOUGH. I guess on the bright side of that would be I might actually go to a recurrent!
