I seriously hope you're kidding...we already had one guy do that a couple years ago and it didn't work out well, if I recall...

We should probably know what we're talking about before we talk...because that, while still a an avoidable error, was not this:

"chop the power over the threshold and hit the ground 20kts below ref without flaring."

People make mistakes.

People do make mistakes. Its just that most people don't foreshadow their mistakes on the CVR.

I am trying to understand why TSA class size is 2 for the next few months. I would think that it would be cost effective to have larger classes. I am in one of the next classes and looking forward to flying.

Kavu, which class are you in and when did you interview? At my interview they said they were interviewing for a September class of either 4 or 8...guess thats not the case anymore.

I would guess lack of interest. Or, at least, lack of qualified interest, with the minimums going up so high now. At least that's what the rumor mill seems to be reporting. We're DREADFULLY short. They should be hiring 10-20 a month at LEAST.

Yeah its short enough on both the left and right seats that I'm sure the schedulers have to drink themselves to sleep each night....
