As long as there are new hires, I think they will keep the fo's here. I don't think they want to pay to displace that many people.

Probably nobody. They are just betting on the fact that someone is going to want updated E2's around that time frame... same thing SkyWest (launch customer) did ordering 100 firm and 100 options. They have no agreements/contracts to fly these birds and will be lucky if they get one.

To bad about IAD base shrinking. IAD was the bases for my selection of TSA. I have other regional offers (everybody is hiring, I don't think I'm special). Who else hubs in the DC area that does not suck? TSA really does seem to be on the rise with fast upgrades and the prospect of not being closed down tomorrow.

I believe Air Wisconsin has a DCA base. I know nothing about how junior/senior it is. Sorry.

Air Whisky and Republic have DCA bases. Mesa, ExpressJet, Republic, and Silver have IAD bases.

Those of you looking for an IAD base might want to read this article on United about the performance of the IAD hub in terms of O and D traffic. Its from a financial website a few months ago about UALs poor performance:

United Should Close Dulles Hub, Analyst Says, as He Cuts Rating - TheStreet

UAL has already closed a low O and D hub in CLE. For those of you that actually believe its due to the pilot shortage, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I want to sell you.

Will be interesting to see what happens when Frontier starts a mini hub in the fall, and if it will drive the O and D traffic back up at Dulles like Independence Air did.

Thought they had an IAD base on the Q. I believe Commutair has an IAD base as well.
