Don't forget we were voted as the cleanest United Express carrier a few months back. That's totally gotta be the reason for the growth.

All jokes aside TSA management has done a good job molding an airline over the past 3-4 years that now has a very junior seniority list. A list that is only going to get more junior as time goes on. These airplanes will be on property for awhile as TSA does not sign short team agreements... So I'm told. While we may be short staffed, I don't see us having any problems staffing this growth, or any more of the rumored growth on top of it. Pilots will come for the movement and the upgrade. The pilot group has a very good relationship with management and moral is high. Can you say that about many other regionals? This group has been through hell and back, and it's nice to see some of it pay off. Unfortunately it may come at some other carriers expense, but you can't fault the pilot group for that. We don't make the decisions, and you don't see any of our pilots on here acting like children about our "new flying." Cough, PSA, Cough

No one is arguing that XJets contract is one of the best in the industry, but you can't say that we have a garbage contract. We make more than regionals providing 70 seat lift.. RAH and Mesa for sure. We open up negotiations again this spring, and this growth will hopefully give us some leverage to improve on a few things. I can say with total confidence that this pilot group WILL NOT take any concessions ( See Go Jet ).

Okay looking at my last pay report I was within PENNIES of the hourly rate for the same seniority captain of the airline you seem to be referencing. AGAIN, the profiles page for TSA doesnt reflect what you actually make!!!! You need to READ the contract we currently have and work the numbers before you climb back on your soapbox. I won't even get into the unlimited commuter clause, full cancellation pay, happier pilot group, etc.

FYI contracts are not just about pay. What is your 401k match? Do you have a "B" fund? What is your LTD like? Are you pay protected for pairings if they get modified or do you have cancellation pay? If you cancel in your base in a middle of a paring does the company get you a hotel room? How much sick time do you get acquire each month? These are just some examples I think he is looking for in your contract.

Can the current contract be found in this thread?

Any speculation on how large/senior you think the DEN base will be?

Expressjet pilots need to know that no matter what those planes were leaving.
United wasn't going to get money losing rates for 50 seats anymore. They knew they were going to need to pay more. You can be dang sure if they were going to be paying "x", it wasn't going to be to skyw inc.
United spelled it out in a letter to investors. "Balance the fleet". We know what it means, what they were doing and why.

Minimum 18 aircraft. My guess on that estimate would be 90ish crews. IAD will be relatively close to the same size. No clue on how senior either will go. My guess is IAD will end up junior.

THIS. I feel for XJT guys,I really do, but TSA has zero to do with those planes leaving. They were leaving anyways. Out of 100ish 145s that are leaving TSA gets 36. Is TSA to blame for the other 60ish we aren't even flying?

Guys are just looking to blame someone. Picking at our contract and getting all mad at TSA is barking up the very wrong tree.

As a pilot at XJT I am not mad at TSA pilots. You are right you all did not take concessions to get the flying. I am trolling this board more to see what info you all are getting from your management. For example our union told us you were getting the planes we were already parking. Now its 36 XRs, and we were not parking those, but of course XJT just signed a new CPA with United that was not know about, so maybe they placed some of the XRs to come off contract before some of the LRs. The only reason I brought up contract stuff about 4 post ago was because someone just kept bringing up pay, and I was trying to point out that a contract is not just about pay. It doesn't really matter why you all are getting these planes ( except if you would have taken a pay hit to do it) what has happened is going to happen. Also I really don't see any TSA guys on here rubbing it in our face either. Someone did hit the nail on the head about having a more junior pilot group. I really do believe the regional feeds were built to only have guys on property around 7 years maybe 8 years max. Anything over that and they are losing money on those pilots. I will say this Whipsaw in the Regional industry does suck for everyone, and I hope that sooner than later that Regionals can't staff this flying and it goes back to Mainline where it belongs.
