When you get that, you may realize that ALPA IS YOU.
ALPA is me? ALPA is not me. ALPA is more concerned with dues and covering its own a$$ than it is with me.

Let me tell you something, if the colonists had the same attitude back in the late 1700's that ALPA has today, we would still be owned by the UK. Wasn't it illegal to revolt against the king? Yet our ancestors risked their lives in order to ensure a better future for their children.

What is ALPA doing to ensure a better future for the group it represents? Complying with the RLA and watching our wages, benefits, and work rules deteriorate, while at the same time promoting some bull$hit known crewmember program? ALPA needs to get its priorities straight.

Until ALPA get's its head out of its a$$, begins taking matters into its own hands, and starts becoming more concerned about the profession then with its revenue, ALPA is nothing more to me than a monopoly forcing people to pay into it's crap. ****** ALPA.

I agree with the last three post. Anyone that thinks ALPA is helping you is crazy. Take another drink of the koolaid. When you need them to stand up for you with the company they always back away and tell you to do what the company wants even if it is against the contract. They tell you to fill out a worthless greviance report which down the line gets settled for something that benefits ALPA.

ALPA loves nothing more than representing pilots for insubordination terminations. So you must think that ALPA is lining their pockets with your money by telling you to fly now, grieve later, thus enabling you to keep your job. That way they don't have to blow thousands of dollars on legal fees grieving your termination while you don't work - and not pay dues. Why don't you try a direct relationship with JO.?I bet when you tell him no, you'll still get fired.

When the company does something that is completely against the contract and ALPA says there is nothing they can do you have to do it. That is bs. There the union. They are suppose to protect. ALPA NUMBER GOAL IS TO KEEP THE UNION DUES COMING IN!

Can someone.....anyone, name an ALPA regional carrier that is succeeding? You know....a regional everyone is just chomping at the bit to get into? I need some kool-aid please. I'm sure i'm just misinformed. Oh and btw, what does it mean when an organization is playing both sides of the fence?

Unless JO is in charge. I don't always agree with ALPA, or approve of where my 2% goes, but since this is a Mesa thread I must say it is necessary.

For those of you furloughed Mesa guys, have you called any reps requesting info from them? If you are missing any contact info plz PM me and I would be happy to locate a number for you.

Well, at some point, ALPA, and a whole lot of us, decided that having a job was better than having a good job. If there were less regionals, I'm sure some would be succeeding.
