I'm actually okay with some level of disconnect between management and pilots. I think it is impossible to get everyone on the same page. What I find disturbing is the level of disconnect with the SAPA EB and the pilots. I have been on the weekly calls. I don't feel there is a real level of discourse to be had there. We have basically shut down the forums with the censorship and muzzled the only SAPA rep that was willing to speak up about the discontent among pilots. So when SAPA tries to bring concerns up to management, they are discounted or pushed aside.

Again, there are worse regional airlines. But when the company keeps using these heavy handed tactics, they will push away those that were willing to consider a career here. Maybe that is what the end goal is. I don't think they go into meetings and try to **** us off. I just know that you get a lot more productivity and efficiency out of a happy workforce. But it's not something you can show on a spreadsheet.

And can someone please find another Zimmerman gif for MF???

Hey guys. One quick question about training next month.

What are the chances of being able to come home on any weekends during training. I live in Chicago and it would be nice to see my wife and son before the end of the 5 weeks. Any information is much appreciated!

It's doable. I non-rev'd home on 2 weekends and jumped home on another. Just make sure you make it back to training!!!

Anyone able to post most junior line holders hire date for ORD and MSP and the a/c type? Trying to work out rough RES times.

Thanks.

We as front line employees do directly interact with the paying customers. Most companies try to keep those employees happy, and treat their working quality of life with a little respect. Especially if they are expected to spend cumulatively, over a career, at least a decade of their time on the road away from home and loved ones. Glad to hear you and ENVIOUS find that so humorous.

For the record, I work at Skywest Airlines, my job is in flight ops, I'm a line captain. Nothing special, just trying to do my job like most of my coworkers, and most of the time I love what I do and the people I interact with. Would you be so forthcoming as to post your job title? You post on here a lot, and knowing the background of the frequent posters helps to understand the context of their posts. You know, in the interest of promoting productive aviation conversation.
