Almost every major is hiring right now or has announced plans to hire. As long as they keep hiring I would expect our hiring to continue indefinitely.

Once the E175 classes start I would expect hiring to staff the EMB and CRJ as a lot of our senior pilots transition over to the E175. I wouldn't expect a new hire E175 class for a while. The fastest way to get into that jet is probably to take a bro class date today and transition to it in a year.

No one knew the payscale for the first bid and it was still all midrange to senior people.

Anyone have thoughts on driving to training?

Does the shuttle make a trip to a grocery store or walmart? Is there a kitchenette in the rooms?

Trying to decide if I should drive the 1,000 miles each way. I would rather not make that trip but don't want to be stuck eating Lofte's and delivery pizza for 6 weeks.

There is a new light rail train that runs by the hotel to downtown, the airport, you don't need a car

Why not just bid the jet from the beginning?

Just asking because I don't know. Seat lock meaning right seat, correct? Not seeing how starting off in a different aircraft will get you to another one faster...again, not sure how it works.

The first e175 classes are April and have already been awarded to current Skywest pilots. You could take an October Brasilia class date and come off seat lock for an October 2014 e175 class. There likely won't be a new hire e175 class before that point so that would be the fastest way into the new jet.

Seat lock means you can't transition equipment. You're locked in the plane that you're in.
