Well, a quick peek at the bid awards list for the September class shows that the junior slot for RJ Captain (which was for MSP), was hired March 2007. The seniority list for EMB captains shows that the junior pilot there was a July 2007 newhire. So, no, your captain was pulling stuff out of his misinformed tuchus. You are correct, seven years to hold any captain slot, right now.
I think you meant August upgrade class. September has not been awarded yet.

Just as a point of information, it was not I who started a union discussion. I simply responded to someone who claimed the IAH UAL flying as their flying being taken by XJT, a company I currently work for. And I do believe that the TOS does allow any of these types of discussions on any thread. And if you are never interested in reading my posts, the forum allows a way of accommodating that, as some have done.
2. We can keep threads "on track", and do so all the time. It is entirely appropriate to start a SKW/Surejet integration/whipsaw thread and you're probably the right guy to do it. But this is not that thread.
As a MOD, I obviously can't opt out on specific users.

More than 100 E175s, you know how it goes, the official word on where and when will probably come out sometime down the line.

From "UTC's" prospective, they would need to know a firm number so they can plan there budget/MX personal in place..A loose 100 or so number is bad business form...

1. Union discussions are restricted to the union forum...that's why it was created. Unions have all the same issues as politics...thread trajectory is always predictable and never good.
