That's why I agree with you that they will shrink to around 1800 pilots over the next 3-5 years.

SkyWest holds a special place in my heart and I wish the airline and it's lifers well but the fact remains that regional subcontract carriers prosper when mainlines struggling and vice versa. & now that mainlines soaring and scope is becoming more restrictive what do you think that spells out for carriers like SkyWest?
Tell ya what, let's chat again in about four months and see who was more correct? Sound like a deal?

I agree, if you change it to read "SkyWest Inc." will shrink.. Unfortunately it will be at the expense of XJT.. Way to much hiring going on at SkyWest to drop down to 1800 pilots. Doubt they will ever get below 3000...

Just curious, how long have you been at SkyWest?

Its like I said, if.....IF SkyWest acquires more flying it will be at the expense of another. Regardless, in the end, I will be correct because we will win the war! We (mainline pilots) currently hold all the leverage and our contracts are what your industry must operate within. You keep failing to realize we control your F4D future and WE (UA, DL, AS & AA) plan to take a LARGE majority of it back. Which, if you only had a brain (think Wizard of Oz), you should want. Sure it won't happen over night BUT it will happen sooner rather than later which means SkyWest will shrink. Mark my words and remember this moment! In 5ish years SkyWest will be roughly 40% smaller (if not more) than they are today. That is unless they start branded operations, but even if they're foolish enough to attempt a full scale operation (think IndyAir) they'll still shrink because they won't be able to retain their pilots. Not when competing with us!

You're seemingly incapable of seeing the forest through the trees. SkyWest is a good company but they're best days are behind them and their futures not so bright. Don't get me wrong, they'll still be the best regional but once again that's like being the fastest kid at the Special Olympics.

It's an analogy, it's not meant to be funny.

Analogy: Similarity in some respects between things that are otherwise dissimilar.

Where did you learn to count? Common core? The analogy was only made twice. If you think it's tasteless then that's because you're choosing to take it that way and place a negative connotation upon the event, therefor it's actually you who has the issue. But if you were offended then I'm sorry, I'm sorry you're so quick to pre-judge (used this word because the other you'd probably take offense too as swell).

Gotta love the liberalization of America. Everyone's so sensitive and thin-skin'd these days.... Like little snowflakes. Guess I'll need to apologize for that now too..... ROLFAY.

Wow, it didn't take you long to get brainwashed by being a "special" mainline pilot. Please take care getting down off of your high horse. How quickly you forget what it means to be such a miserable loser like the rest of us regional pukes. Don't kid yourself, though, legacies seem to cycle every decade or so into the bankrupcy courts, nothing saying it can't/won't happen again if y'all overreach at "Ameriairways", or at UAL for that matter. We're all at risk, always, and we're just another economic bubble and crash or Mid-East or Russian war away from being furlough bait.

HAHAHAHAHA, apparently you've never read any of my previous postings so your reply makes you a bit of a fool. I've always stated that mainline controls SkyWest world, that is obvious. I also NEVER pushed nor wished for scope relief and I've always said once I'm here I will do my best to restrict it even more. Soooo I'm actually doing as I've always said I would which makes me a man of my word. But why am I wasting my time explaining to you what you should already know...... that is if you've ever read my postings over the years. So I'll just keep on keeping on.

lol. BTW, thanks for the laugh, but next time try not to put your foot in your mouth.

Actually, I noticed the same thing. Six months ago you were a typical Skywest apologist and now you're giving them the old mainline "get in line, son" schtick.

Demeaning Special Olympics kids is uncool and shows a major lack of maturity.
