Kinda hard to to plan day care, and you know, your life around that type of schedule.

Get used to it. Training system is a bit backed up right now.

I've been in upgrade for a week, and still don't have a sim schedule, or have any clue what I'm doing after systems on Friday.

Did anyone get a CA position for the ERJ in the Oct new hire class? If so, are they sending them to CA systems and sims and not the FO systems and sims?

I am an upgrade in Oct 3 class. Same systems, GFS procedure trainer and sims. No extra training for captains apparently. Probably all online on IOE.

I think he was seeing if anyone was from the October class will train as PIC instead of SIC, like we did with some in the August class

I know this has been a question asked a few times. But, does it seem upgrade is still happening in indoc? I saw in doc was 10-days, but does that count the weekend? The email said 7-days for indoc. Also, have all classes been going straight to systems or a break between indoc and systems? I'm in the Oct 31st class and just curious.

Yes upgrade is still happening, u get a call probably to the end of indoc, indoc is about 8 days not including weekend, u get weekend off. Typically a break between indoc and systems. Oct 3rd dash class got abt 4 or 5 days, erj got 3 weeks. Those are not hard numbers (the breaks) so they might be different come oct 31st

Keep in mind that these classes have been running VERY senior with guys with lots of experience. Think average age of 45+ in the 10/3 class. I'm 36 with 6500 hours and did not receive an upgrade yet. So just don't think you'll stroll in and get upgraded. That said, I don't think I'll wait more than 1-2 months max, but I might be on rsv awhile.

Out of indoc, is the ERJ or Dash 8 senior?

Potato, were you able to get a choice of ERJ vs Dash-8 or were you assigned what was left over? I'm the same age and want IAD which requires ERJ.

Thanks everyone. Obviously timelines can change, I just wanted an idea of how schedules have been looking.

ERJ has been going more senior. IAD is both Dash 8 and ERJ.

The December bid closes tomorrow, its for 10 D8 captains and 15 ERJ captains. If either goes unfilled, my guess is the ERJ will be filled with Oct 3rd guys in the ERJ and the D8 gets filled with the Oct31 class.(Thats my hunch and nothing more).
