Don't they basically have what we have? I thought they got our pay plus 2% or something like that. I don't see how their contract is so much cheaper than ours. Maybe I don't understand something about how it works over there. The way this airline has been run the past few years and contracts that were signed with the majors seem to be a higher cost and the biggest expense to this airline. They are the reason we cost so much. I fail to see the peanuts we make as "expensive". That just sounds like an excuse to force concessions. Of course paying your pilots costs money, but to the point you can't afford it?

I think he means ExpressJet as a whole is being held hostage by the SkyWest side. Either way, it was a stupid analogy.

The warden favors them so they don't want the arrangement changed even though the warden is being immoral with us in full sight of Skywest. The basement of the pawn shop scene in pulp fiction comes to mind. But in this case Bruce Willis (Skywest pilots) decide to do nothing. If they were to organize we could all collaborate together in order to make this prison better for all of us, not just them. It's a perfect analogy of what is going on.
