I guess the same can be said again? Word has it, less RJ's and more small narrow bodies at mainline.

Makes me wonder with recent time lines and whats going on....

  • Republic asks mainline partners to reduce their flights.
  • Delta comes up with a TA pretty darn fast.
  • XJT Management wants to meet with the MEC's to move along negotiations.
Makes you wonder if there is something big going on.....

I have yet to read A LOT closer, but SNB's free up the "scope choke".

same speculation on the erj side.....shuttle and mesa can't staff flights, american operation is going full tilt, and airplanes are going to companies that can't fly them.....

Default Something is stirring

SkyWest apparently has another proposal or one coming their way soon... What's shaking up that Inc. and it's held companies are (seemingly) bending over backwards to get something on paper? And if you believe the posturing in the internal memo to Xjt, it's gonna be "simple" with regard to work rules which could use some tweaking, and more lucrative financially which is way overdue...

Do we try for more or hop on the first opportunity and secure all the flying that these other companies supposedly can't staff?

I guess they're finding out what Gordon Bethune said a while back: "you can make a pizza so cheap, no one will eat it". He was talking about airline passengers, but it goes for employees too. They finally have killed the regional golden goose; I hope.

both sides are the only airlines that can staff more flying. and I'm sure that management sees these airlines struggling. erj sure doesn't have 175s cause we dont have pay rates for them (can't give a price to carriers without having a price to give), and yes i am very aware of all the other factors (past management, contract etc.). Not sure what you guys have over there on the ASA side. Point being, get another contract to get guys in the company, have a rate for bigger planes so that you can bid for more flying. Im liking the intensity of management to get another TA out

Those rates were set by an arbitrator.

Intensity? There's been one memo and no concrete proposal. They've talked about getting serious many times just to pull back and stall. I'm not holding my breath for anything happening soon.
