What's the Latest at ASA/Expressjet?

The other half of our company? Pshhh. Most Skywest pilots walk around with their noses to the ceiling. I once tried to start a conversation with a SKW guy that was standing next to me waiting on a commute... his response was "oh you work for XJT"... he wouldnt even speak to me after that. Even my friends who work there have this "holier than thou" attitude. Get over yourselves.

But sorry for being so juvenile when it comes to my pay and quality of life. Thanks for the lecture oh wise one.

Other half of my company? One half of MY company is ASA, the other half is ExpressJet. You work for SkyWest Airlines, a non union carrier which is being whipsawed against my company in order to undermine my union contract. Pilots who go to work for a non union company which exists solely to whipsaw a union company owned by the same holding company are only one short step from being a "crusty dried wound" in my opinion.

1. Failure by ALPA to implement brand scope over a decade ago when they had the opportunity...That ship has sailed and we now must deal with the consequences of ALPA's failure.
2. The Pinnacle/Endeavor contract....Not the SkyWest pay and workrules, but an ALPA negotiated and signed contract is putting the new pressure on our contract.
3. Our "brothers" over on the LXJT side with their silly PBS game they have been playing which dragged this out so that the concessions given by Eagle and Pinnacle now factor into "pattern bargaining".....Brilliant move by the LXJT children.
Blaming the SkyWest folks for a mess that is largely ALPA's doing is silly...Your starting to sound like Nevets.....

Time out Cpt Tony....The SkyWest pilots aren't to blame for this mess we find ourselves in. The 4 main reasons are:
[By the way, management has told our negotiators our main competitor is SkyWest Airlines. They have not asked us to match Pinnacle or GoJets (yet)]
3. Our "brothers" over on the LXJT side with their silly PBS game they have been playing which dragged this out so that the concessions given by Eagle and Pinnacle now factor into "pattern bargaining".....Brilliant move by the LXJT children.

ALPA and DAL Management worked together to cornhole all us DCI pilots. Then you guys make offhanded references to cutting inefficient planes and carriers. These are lives you're talking about. Pilots with houses and families and kids. I'm sure you think all regional pilots are pimply faced ERAU grads under 25, but your groups hijack of the age 65 thing left most of us here a lot longer than we intended. So maybe you shouldn't be so cavalier about talking of eliminating "inefficient regionals". Unless it's really all about you and your profits (like an arrogant skygod).

Absolutely. I was an intern at one point for SkyWest and have seen both sides of Inc. and I think that we are very similar in more ways than one. If SkyWest Airlines tries to force a Pinnacle/GoJet contract down their throats, they will not be non-union for long.

Being that 30 % of our pilot group is ex alpa that will be a hard sell on this side.
I'm saying if you start acting like adults and being professional you might help your case but the degrading of half of your company is childish, but you're obviously to junivile to see that.

Yet you said you would rather work for Hulas if XJT/Compass/TSA were on one list.....You just admitted that having a good CEO trumps union membership...Which is it?

The PBS issue would have been resolved if your MEC would have compromised. It took them a year to come to that compromise. Not the XJT MEC's fault.
