this!

How in the world could flying be transferred to SKW anyway? Where are the pilots to handle that? Scare tactics. Anybody read the news blurb on XJT.com this morning? Another scare tactic...

Im really hoping for the rumor that "if this TA gets voted down that management will just merge all three groups"

No Concessions!!!
That's the rumor I've heard as well!

How would this go down down with Skywest being non-union... could they do at that point whatever they wanted... pay rate, integrate... however they seemed fit? Isn't Skywest also in negotiations? I would think this could be a good thing.

Everything previously discussed conceded on the XJT side, minor reserve improvements for ASA, and vacay low still exists, but only for 1 month, not both when vacation straddles months. IPs apparently get a large bump.

Apparently management also threatened to transfer flying to SkyWest. Again.
After speaking with several elected reps, it appears that everything I heard is correct except the threat from management and corresponding numbers.

When you roll like XJT with applicants lining up at the door, you don't need a signing bonus. Until a bad TA is reached... then you need it.

Well, either you heard incorrectly, your source made that up, or you made that up. There has been no votes yet. The MECs haven't seen the final language yet. There isn't anything to vote on yet

There would be a representational vote. The pilot group would end up being SAPA, ALPA, or non-union. There would also be negotiations for a contract or take whatever they give us if we are non-union. In my opinion,it would be a good thing for all the pilots.

We got an email from both MEC chairmen saying they passed a resolution stating the they had an AIP. Resolutions require votes to pass.

Nevets, although we don't always see eye to eye you are completely correct. This email specified there would be a vote once the final language went out. Tony, I don't know if you are just misinformed or trying to flame up the pilots. Either way, the final language had to be worked out and they will be voting shortly. If... If, it passes the MECs then it will be distributed to the pilot group. I have said this before, and I mean it sincerely; please read the whole contract, make a decision based on what you think is right and what you think is wrong, but for gods sake don't open one section and say definitely yes or definitely no. If you are one of those guys then you are doing yourself, your colleagues, and future pilots a disservice. This isn't about one side or the other, we have to start thinking collectively and stop berating each other. Yes or No, we have to work together from this point forward.

I'm gonna read the thing right up to the point of the first concession and that's where i'll stop and vote. NO!

Hell, if I'm gonna be any part of ALPA's grand schema of funding mainline contracts on our/my back. Sorry guys but you tuck and run i'm done.[/QUOTE]

No TA would ever get passed with that attitude. Sometimes you have to give up some scheduling perks for $. Its more about the overall plus vs minus. We shouldn't see pay go down though..

Exactly I'm not holding any reservations till I read it myself....All these guys screaming NO based on rumors is a bit childish... The bullsh*t stops when the TA drops!
