2 questions to ask are:

1. How does this compare to the industry?

2. What are the possible consequences to voting NO?

Here's my consequence to voting no. I'll get my somewhat acceptable work rules and pay until the last day this company is open and go to compass or somewhere else and probably make captain faster than I would if I stayed here.

Was just chatting with a friend about this and wanted to share:

Section 25.P.2

Captains Flying as First Officers

a. A reserve captain may be required to fly as a first officer if no
reserve first officers are available to fly an assignment.

b. If both crewmembers are on reserve, the more senior reserve
(by pilot system seniority) will designate who will be captain and
first officer.

c. If the other crewmember is a lineholder, he will be the captain.

d. A reserve captain will not be required to fly more than 20 hours
as a first officer in a month.

e. The pilot will be paid and credited as a captain for the first
officer assignment.

f. A pilot retains the responsibility to determine if an assignment is
safe, and may reasonably refuse an assignment to fly as first officer.

So you want to shut the best paid regional down and go to work at one of the bottom feeders who actually helped cause this problem and puts the downward pressure on everyone so that you can make captain faster.....Talk about ME..ME...ME! Thanks capt. hypocrite.

How exactly does that "help the profession"? Isn't that how we got here?

This will be their temporary solution when FOs start bailing at an incredible rate. Not that I'll probably ever get a chance to upgrade here but this did catch my eye as well.

By the way, the duty rig is still intact. Not sure where you guys were getting that. Its the same as it is now for LASA.

2:1 up to 12 hours and 1:1 thereafter (scheduled only).

I certainly don't expect that due to us being FEED and not mainline but, THEIR IS NO REASON TO BE STAGNANT OR BACKSLIDE ON PAY OR BENEFITS.
I don't disagree with your frustration...Believe me I share it. Remember the PID? Remember RJDC? The past 2 decades, the ASA and CMR pilots attempted to prevent this whipsaw within a brand so that this wouldn't happen. However most of the pilots here didn't support any of that. Our national union, combined with our "mainline brothers", helped cause this.

In 1998, I voted NO on the first TA. In 1998, I helped negotiate what was then an industry leading contract because the first TA was far from industry leading. In 1998, our net profit margin was 15 percent. This isn't 1998. In 2013 we currently have the industry leading contract. In 2013 we have a TA that pushes the two industry leading contracts a tad bit further. In 2013 we have no net profit.

I'm as ****ed about this situation as anyone. However it is never good to get emotional when making business decisions.

Far from it. I've been preparing to retire early since 2000 as even Ray Charles could have seen this train wreck coming. Either way, the ASA side still probably has 6 to 8 years left in it which is all I need.

Read Section 3, 1/A again. Pay attention to the (1) (2).

Read more closely ... Duty rig applies to CDOs only.

This is an incorrect statement. You have one industry leading contract that is being pushed into a concessionary one.
