The Comair purchase and shutdown cost Delta a lot of money. It was done out of spite.

Delta bought Comair for 1.8 Billion Dollars! Incredible that they let that just go away.

Also, anyone who thinks the leaders of any company will have a heart in this industry is delusional. They won't think twice about shutting any place down if that's what creates lower costs/higher profit. Look at Comair. That was a wholly owned company, but it's gone and those senior pilots and F/As were left in the cold. Delta could have scavenged them for their own classes and they didn't.

I hope AWAC has a long and prosperous future.

Agreed. The guys in New York or whoever who actually own this company will easily cash in their money and invest it into something else. Look how involved they are, I couldn't even tell you any of their names. Bet most of them haven't been to Appleton this decade.

We've already reached an agreement in principle. Email comes out tomorrow. It'll be valid for a week. Too soon?

Now my favorite over night is my house. Now instead of wanting to fly we are looking to get the most days off. Things change. Guess the best part is looking for Job Security. Safe to say AA shouldn't be going anywhere anytime soon.
Good Luck.
AA has a god awful product. Probably the worst of the worst, so yea they are probably too big to fail, but I can't imagine being a paying customer and actually traveling on AA. It will catch up with them eventually.

Well each major airline has it's issues. I know people that won't fly United EVER, I know people that won't fly SouthWest EVER.

Yes I believe American has room for tons of improvement. But they are filling up seats and there about to almost double there revenue they generated last year. Just let me collect a paycheck, get based in CLT and I'll leave it to the big wigs to fix the product.

Sorry pal, unfortunately the fix was making it the worlds largest airline so you don't have to fix the product.

Anyone else notice those CRJ's in Columbia have been moved and opened up the last few days? Just felt like stirring the pot.

They left about a month ago. We taxiied behind one and they were using the Acey call sign. They blew an engine on departure and returned to the field.

I don't think they ever belong to Air Wisconsin.
