PHL-EWR is no more busy than anything else we do... take off, have a nice leisurely tour of Joisey at 7000', look for Tony Soprano's home, fly over TEB and the stadium, land 22L and roll right into the gate

Now, getting to the hotel if you have the EWR overnight, THATS busy work.

I'm scratching my head on this one. I was scheduled to work Tuesday-Friday in March. I needed a Tuesday off and saw a Wednesday-Saturday trip open. Earlier report time and higher block, thus freeing up a RSV on a Saturday. My original Tuesday show wasn't until 3pm. Put in a swap only to see it denied twice "maintain RSV coverage." ?

Yep that's the crap they've been pulling. Now if you tried swapping same days and had a later show they'd deny it and say to maintain early reserve coverage. So basically what everyone needs to do is call in sick when you need to swap a trip. 'That will ruin their precious little field trip' in my best Farley voice.

To be fair extra reserves on Saturday probably isn't a benefit to scheduling.

I'm not defending our schd system, it's a dumb as everyone says, but I was able to swap out 3 of my 4 trips next month already. Just took a few tries to find an option that they liked. Obv trips where higher blk and the same number of days from what I dropped.

Also I didn't write please or thank you in any of the requests, if anyone is keeping score of whether that matters.

Doom and gloom?! Sounds like one of our owners just joined the BOD of United

"In 2005, US Airways was in bankruptcy court, trying to raise enough money to emerge and continue operating. CEO Bruce Lakefield put together a deal to raise about $1 billion; among the investors were Richard Bartlett, then chairman of Air Wisconsin, and Ed Shapiro, a partner at Boston hedge fund PAR Capital Management, who last week joined the board of United Airlines."

That positive thinking has no place here.

Yea you're right, I don't know if Ed Shapiro is one of the owners. Maybe him and Bartlett are old pals and can work something out

Just found out Shapiro is not one of the owners but was one of the players that sunk money into Airways way back in 2005 just like AWAC.
