So, if I read that correctly, if one downgrades rather than taking a leave, he is no longer eligible until he upgrades again and has satisfied the seat lock.

Taking leave in hopes of getting Delta's call is almost as risky a bet as is paying for a 73 type to woo Southwest.
Wow, so if you have to be a Captain at PNCL to even be considered? I assume every FO will vote NO then? Looks like there is 50% right there...

A 4 yr degree shows discipline, commitment, & drive. I like the requirement. If someone truly wants to work for an airline that requires a 4 yr degree, then it won't be an issue. I think it isn't about just intelligence.

Oh, you must be talking about Carlos Slim, but he graduated from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México with a major in Civil Engineering while simultaneously teaching Algebra and Linear Programming. Try again.

The majority of Delta's pilots went to our military academies. No debt, other than the obligation to serve and fight. They are justifiably proud of being selected and having done well. The Air Force guys will tell you at the handshake, the Navy guys wait until your leg on the second day.

The richest man in the World went to the University of Mexico, working in his father's store and teaching programming to pay his way through. The second richest man never had to apply for his job. He created his own Company.

Among the skills learned in college is the ability to work with others. "Cooperate and graduate" as they say. More than half of my class had a Masters or graduate level certificate programs in their background. That was the competitive environment at the time.

There should also be a no vote from the soon to be downgraded CAs. Either take the leave and have a chance or stay and wait for re-upgrade. This is sketchy. It sounds like sticking around with Pinnacle as an FO is detrimental to the bridge process.

Bucking Bar you may have a bone to pick with your own MEC but a no vote equals to shutting the doors and a couple of thousand employees losing there jobs. Take your fight to your own house nobody is guaranteed a job at Delta so why should anybody at 9E give a crap how you think it will effect you. Please leave, for every comment you write I will belittle you and prove you to be the village idiot.

First off. WOW. He is only providing another view point as to why this is so messed up.

Second. You seem to want to take any deal they throw at you, "or else you will be on the street." Never mind how terrible the deal is, back bone? Nope. Ever heard of having savings and a backup plan?
If the TA had been 50% pay cuts across the board with no benefits, it sounds like you'd be all for that too. "Thousands" will loose their jobs... they will anyway! 1 - 3 months of pay at guarantee and health benefits will blow by fast. Anyone at 60% or less on the list needs to be applying everywhere ASAP and praying. The "flow" is BS and if you wait for it you are a fool.

Good luck.

Ok, so if I'm reading this correctly, virtually NOBODY will be able to flow through to Delta?

81 CRJ's staffed at 5 crews a plane = 810 pilots

That means ----> Only the top 405 pilots on the seniority list can flow! Or, anybody with a date of hire of 1999 or past. You MUST CURRENTLY BE A CAPTAIN TO FLOW THROUGH VIA THE BRIDGE.

HOWEVER........

Anyone with a date of hire of 1999 is still at Pinnacle because they can't get hired at a major anyways!!! Maybe it's a DUI, many failed checkrides, or no college degree. So the top 405 who ARE NOT QUALIFIED IN THE FIRST PLACE, ARE BEING OFFERED A FLOW THROUGH!

GENIUS!!!!!!!!!!!

Delta offer's something that sounds amazing, but it's just another majic trick.

Hmmmmm...........will this TA Pass???? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

YET!!!........They are trying to lure pilots in to a vote, by offering something that will never exist, to agree to pathetic terms of which the Bankruptcy Court, will NOT approve.

Am I right??????
