Early Monday morning, the Negotiating Committee and the company reached a tentative agreement (TA). We are in the process of cleaning up the details and creating final language.

Both sides convened in the ALPA D.C. offices Monday December 10th to begin the round-the-clock bargaining that was necessary to reach an agreement that provides significant cost savings, while at the same time preserving a future for Pinnacle pilots. Senior management from Delta Air Lines was also participating in the discussions. Representatives from Delta worked closely with our management team to facilitate discussions and provide guidance on key questions to airline fleet, and career progression opportunities for our pilots.

Your entire MEC was in Washington to guide the negotiators through the final phase of negotiations. The MEC has received a thorough briefing on the TA, had discussions throughout the day and will continue as final language is completed. Once final language is complete, the MEC will begin their deliberations on the TA. Should the MEC approve the TA, we will begin roadshows as soon as possible – perhaps as early as later this week.

With this agreement, Pinnacle's long-term fleet plan has been established at 81 CRJ-900 aircraft. The 40 additional CRJ-900 aircraft will start delivery in fall 2013, and all will be in service by the end of 2014. As part of the long-term fleet plan, Pinnacle will remove its 140 CRJ-200 aircraft from the fleet starting in summer of 2013, with the largest number leaving at the end of 2014 or early 2015. The schedule is designed to avoid incurring extensive scheduled engine maintenance events prior to each aircraft leaving the fleet.

Due to the liquidity issues facing our company, we will need to complete all roadshows and balloting on the new agreement by January 15th. We intend to get all information out to every Pinnacle pilot as soon as possible so that you can begin to process the information on this important future decision.

We appreciate the support of all Pinnacle pilots throughout this year-long ordeal. Please know that difficult decisions were made throughout this process and our goal has always been to represent the needs of our pilots.
