I don't think D-ALPA will say a word.

DALPA has been circumvented by ALPA. ALPA has authority to do that. It appears there were numerous violations of ALPA's Administrative Manual, but the remedies are internal to ALPA.

The reactive choices get real ugly, real quick. Any reaction is an admission that D-ALPA was cut out of the loop in negotiations with "their" company. This lack of relevance is embarrassing.

The question is, why would any major want to remain in ALPA if the President will authorize the bargaining that does not respect local autonomy?

Many ALPA Reps do not understand our union's Constitution and Admin Manual. Most will not understand what happened here. Many will not want to pick a fight over this.

But the next decertification effort on the Delta property will certainly cite ALPA allowing another MEC to modify Delta's Section 1 as an example of ALPA's conflict of interest.

The internal resolution mechanisms were completely ignored by Wychor and Moak. IMHO, such action was ill considered, because it would have been quick and easy to get Delta MEC agreement on this. Now the issue is that ALPA allows other pilot groups to cut deals with Delta management. That is a much, much, bigger issue.

I have to say relax a little bit Will. I have a two year old a mortgage and huge student loans but i am not taking this out on other people when they post their opinion. This situation sucks and it can be hard to listen to others say what they think when it does not truly matter to them. But this is a forum and this is what it is for.

So, a 4-year degree is required for employment by Delta.

The bridge agreement 2.b.i states that to be eligible, you must meet the job requirements at DL.

So, am I reading it right that no one that doesn't have their 4 year degree will be eligible to bridge over?

Yes, you must have a 4 year degree to be eligible and meet every other requirement of a normal Delta new hire. You also have to be a captain or have been a captain.
