I'm surprised they're not getting more sweeteners for the bottom half of the list. The top 810 will probably already vote yes.

Not quite. A Colgan Ca who takes a leave now would still be eligible.

I would seek further guidance on the language of this from your MEC. Legalese can be misinterpreted very easily by the rest of us knuckle draggers.

Logically, one would think that someone who previously held captain but got displaced would be eligible, but on the surface this appears to only be those who are currently captains and those who were captain and took leave.

Strange.

One way or the other, the amount of people eligible for this will be fairly small.

Redvette97 I do have a back up plan and can live over 5 years without earning a dime and still make it. As a Captain I have not been able to find a new job that will pay the same.

Thousands of people losing there jobs may be a poke. I have no clue how many FA's mechanics, office personal will be out of job if we close. I am looking beyond the man in the mirror on this one and I don't expect you to understand that.

King of Pop approves!

Sorry; that was garbage. Sometimes I only amuse myself.

If you are a Captain and take a leave, you will then dequalify yourself from applying at Delta because you have to be current in jets.

There are too many loopholes in this, that virtually nobody will be able to bridge flow through to Delta.

They've thought this scam through well, but aren't fooling any of us.

True about the lawyerspeak.

Assuming, yeah, I know, but assuming I am reading it right, it makes perfect sense. Get those folks off the payroll asap. Get rid of some of the dead wood while reducing the training backlog.

Bucking BAr I laughed when I saw your last post. 99% of the time I like what you post, I am just pushing back on this subject. It's just to personal.

Allow me to recommend a movie that will explain all, Catch 22.

I'm grabbing my copy and trying to understand what just happened ....

By the way, here is the Delta Cog test. If you can figure out what happens from 29:10 to 30:34, you're in.
