Fight tooth and nail? Psa? They'll give it up for a few more 900's.

Except at Horizon, we also have SAP. You can do the same thing... Drop to the minimum, wait for the open time, and get paid.

The only difference is the hourly rate. Your captain making 70 an hour is probably making over 105 base pay here.

As an FO, $41.36 x 1.5 = $62.04 ain't bad. If you're smart about what you pick up, you can throw the minimum day rules into the mix as well. 248 bucks to show up for a day of work. I usually pick up the short turns, and then go back home. Blocking less than 2 hours to get paid 248 ain't too shabby.

Plot twist: Premium pay has frequently been offered at 200% around here in order to 'fix' the staffing and get people to pick up open time. So then it's 330 bucks.

That was kind of my point. Every time somebody criticizes PSA for voluntarily voting in concessions outside of section 6 negotiations some cheerleader comes around and says "yeah, but the SAP!"

The SAP is barely functional.
Try running GTA5 on a PS1. And you will understand what I mean.

In theory the SAP is wonderful. Reality is a totally different story.

Most of the SAP talk is in response to people's assumption that our contract is terrible, not an excuse to vote in concessions.

Again, I can't comment on the captain pay because the 12 year cap certainly puts us on the bottom. However, none of this other vitriol is true. This is where people generally mention the SAP.

This is an exaggeration man. Yes it is not functioning the way it was negotiated but it is still, by far the best QoL tool in the regionals(apparently QX has one as well). There is nothing the company could throw at me to give it up through a vote. 10/hr? Nope. 15? Nope. I'd start considering it at 20/hr and we know that isn't going to happen.

Not your pilot group? I thought you were an expert at everything under the sun in regional land? With your less than one year of experience in the industry, right?

Just curious, have you narked out any of your fellow newhires at gojets yet?

Hope you enjoy your APU on your big shiny jeeeettttttttttttt, Mr. TallFlyer. Just so you know, they get defered on RJs too.

I don't think having a lady sitting at her home computer for 24 hours straight to do trip trades for the SAP is acceptable.
It was supposed to be real time, 100% automated.
Now it takes 5 plus hours to get a trip trade approved or denied.
Speaking of denials...
You cannot trip trade in the SAP if you will dequal due to Medical, currency, passport exp, etc...

The SAP is a failure right now. If it works as advertised then it will be great.
Right now there is no effort to make the system work as advertised. Making our 1 year old contract pretty much concessionary.

And 12 year pay cap for Captains will be on par with Pinnacle. The lowest in the industry. I have ALPA graphs to back this up.

Would you rather have it in it's current form or not at all? I still get what I need. I have 19 days off for May including all weekends except one Saturday. And Mother's Day, and Memorial Day/weekend. Those will all be critical btw leaving room for huge money on pickups. I'm still ****ed that it's not perfect but what we have is pretty damn good.

Also I said that our captain pay is among the lowest....read it again. You don't need to back anything up.

I wasn't saying they'd offer you anything to give up the SAP. I was suggesting something more along the lines of their Eagle threat. "Accept this deal minus the SAP or else". Would the guys there stand strong? I hope so.

I think I was responding to someone else. I can't tell since I'm on my phone.

Everyone here feels pretty strong about the SAP I do t think that offer would fly. I also didn't think our last TA would pass either though.
