***** and complain about the airline you work for because schedules and staffing suck due to lack of personnel, make sure nobody comes to work for said airline by *****ing and complaining about it thereby ensuring said staffing and scheduling issues continue or worsen.
More logic that is self-sabotaging.

Kprc: What I have said has nothing to do with being disgruntled or emotional. Your upgrade time here will be long. The company has said we will shrink regardless of how these contract negotiations go. You can research contracts, ours is average at best and lacking in quite a few areas. There are literally no reasons to come to Envoy, I'm not making that up. If you are dead set on coming here, then by all means. I'm just trying to give you the best information I can.

Let them make their own decision. It's not your job to push anyone. No need to stretch what I said into telling someone a lie to come here, that's wrong on a lot of levels. There's certainly no need to sabotage the situation and then complain about the situation one is (apparently blindly) contributing to.

Scott Kirby's response about Eagle negotiations at a recent earnings call:
At the moment, there's no change to the status. Envoy is still a very large and incredibly important partner for AA, though the new large jets are going elsewhere, at least the ones that are being delivered in the next 12 months or so. We remain hopeful that, at some point, we'll reach a deal with our pilots that allows us to put large regional jets there, but there is no change in the near term.

Hey Kprc1 a positive note. I have been at Envoy 14 years and I have seen this before. Spinoff. Seen that. Outright sale. Yep seen that too. Vote down an AIP under a Comair II threat and then get to keep 200 airplanes!!! We are still here and still talking with the company. Will we shrink. God knows? Will we grow? maybe. At best the odds between the two are 50/50. This much is certain, this company is going to be around for a long time and we will continue to flow pilots. Yes it may take longer to get that upgrade, if thats what you want, but regardless of what is said on this thread, taking a job at Envoy will not spell the end of your piloting career.

kprc1, I can give you a few observations about Envoy as I'm a new hire with only a few days on the line. Disclaimer: my situation is entirely different in that I'm a 44 yr old experienced pilot that spent the last 6 years on the teaching side. As a result, when I decided to return to flying I lacked recency of experience. I was given conditional offers elsewhere pending recency. As a result, I'll be here another 8-12 weeks. I'm also a DFW local so training here was a big factor for family QOL.
I interviewed at a couple of other places. For QOL and upgrade I liked Commutair (there's a big difference between 26K and 30K year when you're making below 40. When you're over 6 figures, 4K a year is nothing). Also, I liked that they provided 4 hotel rooms a month to commuters. I was given an offer at AWAC and held out for a better offer at the majors so I lost the class. I liked them as well.
If I had to pick a place to live in base it would be Horizon. I sent them an app a few months ago but got the TBNT letter which referenced, "not meeting qualifications." Hmmm. 9K plus hours, turbine PIC, former 121 CA, Graduate work in human factors, published author, etc. OK, I guess? Anyway the CRJ training at Envoy is straight forward with no tricks or surprises (granted, I was already typed so I just needed a proficiency check not a type ride). Anyway you slice it, $450 a week is brutal (and I don't have medical taken out, that's just after tax). Let me know if you have an specific questions. Would I stay here if pay was commensurate with experience...with a DFW base I would.
