Everyone knows Mesa and Trans States flew as a Delta connection.. As well as Comair. And its no hidden thing SkyWest gets better aircraft purchase terms then Delta does on Aircraft.. The rest. I know because i do... I think its a the same as Eagle and the CRJ700's going to PSA. The 200's are eventualy going away.. The will Time/cycle out.. Delta can shift the small fleet of 9E's left to another airline to take over the lease and free up capital for Delta to order more widebodys.. Even 20-50 200's can restruct the favirable rates banks will give Delta on new aircraft..

You guys are all so flustered about this "rate reset". The thing is, Delta doesn't care! They're playing a game of chess where they win either way. They are smart enough to know that the regional model is dead. It's run it's course and is not sustainable, not to mention they like to control the product very tightly. And of course, the 200/50 seat or less feed is REALLY done.
With vertical integration and an economy of scale, they know they can make money on 900's til the cows come home, probably even at their current published mainline CBA rates. So whatever they say they're willing to pay for future CPA's will be so low that they'll laugh all the way to the bank if somebody actually agrees to it. And if they don't agree to it (and I sincerely hope they don't) I believe we'll see Delta be the first legacy to unwind this regional experiment starting with 9e (and no, not by shutting us down).
