He has the SSP already, which will get him to Delta faster than the EtD.

Things will be interesting going forward. Endeavor can flourish with -200's waiting to be staffed, or torpedoed without applicants. All of that is outside any of our purview. 100 -200"s need to be staffed per DL network planning, but all the other carriers are not even participating in the RFP. That leaves Endeavor to do it, if the pilots exist.

Current number of pilots = 1,750
Number of pilots needed to staff the 900s = 800-900
Average # of pilots quiting per month 2014 = 37
# of pilots hired so far this year = 29
I would venture to say that downgrades continue until all the 200s are gone. At this point they are left with a decent amount of regional lifers as captains, and "dreamers" that made up their own fleet plan in their heads as FOs.

It takes one simulator to support crews for thirty airplanes. I believe the fourth CRJ900 simulator has been installed in MSP.

This mindset seems quite prevalent, yet irrelevant. With the industry changing, many folks outside of endeavor are changing their tunes. Don't flame it, just stating reality. Applications are growing, but the selection process is becoming competitive.Does it make sense? NO. Is it reality, YES.

That was the unions fault for the bad road shows. The language, although vague, does state "at the time of selection", meaning a captain on leave. It was a shady sell by the mec. Business as usual.

The incentive to come to Endeavor isn't there......yet. Plenty of other carriers pay better and have a much shorter upgrade time. If the higher powers in Atlanta want this experiment to work they need to correct these two issues. All the marketing in the world, attending road shows, and handing out koolaid to college kids won't help when we have 8 year first officers on property. I wish we could see what this place looks like in a year......
