This is how the abuse and corruption starts: with ego-maniacs like hetman. These people are the poster children for having "delusions of grandeur".
This makes them feel justified in stealing from the dues payers. They are no different from corrupt politicians. They are scum.
Personal attack? That is a logical fallacy. I would have expected better from you. Or maybe not.

Obfuscation? Another logical fallacy. The issue is not your opinion of the union leadership; it is the regard in which management holds labor. Your efforts to deflect that discussuion are hereby noted.

I am not of the union leadership. Never was with the 357. I hung my butt way, way out back in the 747 days trying to reform the RAH representation. I testiified against GS at the hearings in Houston when the 747 was thrown out. In a nutshell, your fallacious accusations, at least those directed at me personally, could not be further from the truth.

So despite the smelly smokescreen you tried to lay down, despite your attempted personal attack and despite your attempt to obfuscate first hand knowledge, new hire candidates need to be aware of the esteem in which their labor is held.

That's your big meeting on the 22nd.
Don't forget about the steak and lobster dinner; all while enjoying cocktails on our dime! OUR assessment hard at work.

If this is true, then the membership needs to address it. Not on message boards, though. Read the bylaws.

And to reiterate, whether true or not, it does not in any way change the regard in which management holds labor.

Our new treasurer is an honest person, I believe. So we'll see what happens next year. Unfortunately, our old treasurer is the new prez. I believe he is corrupt.
Note: hetman, there are no such things as PERSONAL attacks on APC.

What does being an honest person have to do with anything? Do you suddently think the assesment is now going away? "Lobster dinners" will be a thing of the past? What is your definition of corrupt? If you are so anti-union you should either lead a drive to decertify or, at least, support the union in a public forum. Any thing else only shows managment personel that our pilot group is divided and simply waiting will drive the selling price of our next contract down. The reason negotiations are taking so long and the assesment has not gone away are because of pilots like you. You're your own worst enemy and have such a narrow point of view (on this board at least) that you cannot see the damage to everyone that you truely are causing.

I have never been one to suggest someone step in line, but if you do not like it so much why aren't you a more active proponent to change within our company? We just had elections. Where were you on the ballot? Or is it easier just to complain on a online forum?

It appears you are so about yourself, the assesment, and "your money" that you are truely willing to cut of the hand that is trying to pull you out of a ditch. It would not surprise me if you vote no when this FO Pay LOA comes to a vote simply because it may decrease the amount you get later on as a Captain. Stop thinking about yourself in the now and ask yourself what you can do to help all of us get a contract we can be proud of sooner than later. If you can't figure out what that is for yourself just look to the last few negotiation updates to figure it out. Just do that for a little while then you can go back to cutting corners in the airplane and find something other than the assesment to complain about.

To end any drama,I will be a NO vote on any LOA that treats one group above another. And your rant about me running for election reminds me of Dr. Michael Savage. A caller suggested on his show that Savage run for office. Savage lashed out at the caller explaining that Michael Savage is best off doing what he does. If he were to get elected, he would be sucked up into a system of corruption and would either have to "play ball" or be silenced.
You see,REAL change comes from the people being awakened, NOT elected.

First, it wasn't a rant I was trying to awaken you. Second, I got it - We can expect business as usual from Loon - don't want to risk making waves since you're going to be here until your last flight as an airline pilot and really don't want to be bothered flying the book.

The paradox goes on. I applaud you sir it's takes real effort to stay in character.

So you're best off voting YES for crap TA's? Was it that wonderful TA that awakened you? Or should your YES vote awaken us? (what were we thinking looking for something more than average?)

Please explain how you are effecting "REAL" change.

It will be good for a laugh anyway.

Oh you mean like the current disparity in RAH's payscale between captains and FOs? Pretty easy stance to take in your position huh?

Yes Loon, Republic is the pure epitome and reflection of two different employee groups being treated equally, right. Lets not bother changing that

By the way whats the difference between you and FOs again? Oh yeah, you were here first. Triple the pay for you!
