I suppose those are flaps on top of the wing too??
Yeah, can't forget the tail flaps, gear flaps, and the thing the passengers get in and out through, fuselage flaps.

And yet when the SSP was handed down along with it's notorious "vault letter", there were DAL pilots (ALPA) that expressed personal pain/discomfort and butthurt because they "didn't have a say".

Seriously, go back through the older threads and read about it, true story.

As you stated they did not have a say. Exactly what I just posted.

I doubt very much they're going to use the PCL interviews as an attempt to arbitrarily destroy their interview success rates. Nor will it be the casual rubber stamp buddy roe "just a formality" process some folks for some rediculous reason may have once thought it was.

IOW, for all who prepare diligently, I'm betting their interview pass rate will be very close to that of anyone else in any similar situation relative to any given applicant.

You'll all be given a fair shake if you do your part. Guaranteeing any number of pass rates for a challenging interview process is a huge commitment, and one that would obviously be under promised so as not to ever force them to have to take anyone they didn't want. I'd bet the number that are actually successful is higher than that, and if you could somehow compare like "off the street" applicants with PCL pilots who prepared for it, pretty much the same rate.

You are probably correct, hopelessly confused. Its easy to get confused when there is a 2 class system set up and you are in the class with the least or no power. We want you to study hard and prepare for the SAT and interview so you can become part of the privileged class. In the mean time we cannot allow you to be afforded equality or any of the same privileges that we enjoy in the privileged class. Anything our management wishes to do to the lessor class they can and probably will but we will not allow our management to treat us in the same manner as you are. You just need to humbly accept this as you are trying to become part of and enter into the privileged higher class. This is the way it has always been and this is the way it shall always be.

Not that it will help anything but I was talking about pilots that DAL or DAL management has hired if you prefer not ALPA hiring but, thank you for playing.

That's a lot of victim card playing just to try and justify not prepping for an interview. Even the hardest ones only require a couple weeks max of preparing if you do your part. Throw in a couple job fairs and a few of the least time intensive extracurricular/volunteer activities and the entire footprint really isn't that much considering whats at stake.

Or you could just sit around and angst over it and hope it resolves itself. Don't forget the Hitler, Slavery, Civil War and Revolutionary War references; those are always crowd pleasers. Instead of updating your apps and preparing for interviews, why not pioneer new ground, and come up with the War of 1812 and Falkland Islands War references too. Just make sure to always blame others for not doing the heavy lifting to allow you to slide on over to mainline at something greater than a staple. Bonus points if you can find the right Bible verse to support your argument. Blessed is he who refuses a staple and insists on thyne Process, for he is righteous and shalt not worship false interviews before me.

I am about to send an application. Are you saying the SSP deal will not apply to new hires? It looks like to me, Endeavor has become a good option.
