As far as the flying that seems like an awfully small amount of flying. 2 acft is maybe 10 pilots per seat, you guys were previously doing 5+ acft worth of flying. We are not understaffed to the point where 10 pilots is a make or break situation.
I'm sure you are right, I just hadn't heard that and it seems like an insubstantial amount. I am far from the most informed on those sorts of things however.

I don't think any -200s are getting painted in new livery until then; something about AAG getting a contract with a paint facility for that airframe. There are a few SKW -200s in new American paint but they may be on SkyWest's dime.

What are upgrade time running at AWAC these days? Know a few who have gone in the last year or so and have good things to say. Sounds like AW hiring has been ongoing, even after the DL deal was called off, good to hear. Suppose 2015 will be an indicator things to come, hope to see some more positive signs.

Well, I've never considered myself the sharpest tool in the shed either, but AWAC seemed to me like a good place to me. I interviewed last month and got an offer. I'm about 75 shy of 1500 and just need to get my time. Any suggestions for training? This will be my first 121 experience...

Even before recent AWAC announcements, it has been stated ad nauseam that the flying does not end this year that was for the original contract which included an extension to 2017 if incentives were met. Of course they were met and the flying will continue until at least 2017.
Much less sure is what happens after that, but the failure of the Delta deal seems to have solidified our future with AA. There is talk now of an 8 year extension...but what ever it is, management said they will be announcing something soon.
