Anything New At AWAC?

As for the A/C parked, its only going to be 401-405. They are our oldest birds and definitely not a bad thing to be retiring them. On a personal note they should definitely add 471 to that list. That is the biggest POS mankind has ever produced. Mx indicated we will be replacing at least some of those 5 as well. Not a huge loss.
Enjoy the rest of class and training man and welcome aboard! Your gonna like it here.

So, what will 2017 bring? Isn't that when a lot of the LUS feed comes up for renewal?

This is EXACTLY what I told everyone would happen. There were absolutely zero signs of this place closing it down. Now you have 3 more years to see what happens. Either way anyone with decent time and experience should be gone by then. This isn't the 2000's anymore.

Any fact behind that number of retirements? Or is that just what you're feeling?

AAG cares about cost above all else. They are making on the order of $4,000,000,000 in profit after taxes a year. AWAC's share is roughly $50,000,000 of that (or was).
Even if AWAC's costs were in line with PSA's (they aren't even close, not even looking at contract rates, things like HR are shared) AWAC would have to have a 0% margin to be at PSA's total costs. Will AWAC operate at a 0% rate?
Use the extension time wisely.
