UA forms new subsidiary, hires Brad Rich SVP
Looks like United has formed a new ground handling subsidiary to the likes of Envoy and DGS. Also, Sandra Pineau-Boddison has been replaced as SVP-United Express by former SkyWest President Brad Rich.
Reshuffling the deck chairs on the Titanic it seems.

Wonder if we will see a United wholly-owned carrier soon. AMR used to want to get rid of Eagle now AAG wants to keep the wholly owned carriers and bring the flying back in house. Same with Endeavor.
Most likely they will have to buy another one but would also make sense to create a new one from scratch, keep pilot costs low since no "gummers", make a flow through and rob their competition of any new blood plus churn.

United is always behind the curve to see what the other carriers do, i wouldn't be surprised if a cheap *** place like TSA or C5 would be wholly owned....

Current contract. There is still no joint contract between sCO and sUA flight attendants. All UA has to do is dangle a carrot and the flight attendants will bite.

With Brad Rich worming into UAL Hdq, this is more than some ground handling ploy. Skywest has been divesting themselves of the ground handling business since Chimp was first promoted. The implications are far deeper and more complex than it might seem. UAL sends Marren down to the minors, brings Rich up to the majors, seems that the cross pollination is being tried to create a hybrid. While I do acknowledge that UAL is a corp. that specializes in Titanic style deck chair services, even they cannot be oblivious to their reality.

I don't think Skywest FA's come close to a majority. We are taking about 20,000+ FAs at UAL combined.
