Default violation of status quo

Well, the local has finally grown a pair and is condemning RAH's pay hike for OT. Telling us to refuse it. 'Bout damn time!

That is not enough. They, or you, or someone needs to grieve it.

It's been grieved by many of us. I hope the IBT has the courage to push this as a change is status quo. I doubt they will though, because they love the money train.

The local telling the pilots to not pick up open time for 150% is actually a big deal. This is the feared "work action" that we've heard so much about in the past few years. IBT and the local can be sued for such action if they are in the wrong.

I think that it's encouraging to see this sort of statement from the union. I hope that it motivates the company to finally start doing the right thing..

In reality, I think that the company will just rescind the memo.

150% isn't entirely accurate unless you're on first or second year FO pay.

Hopefully we can get a list of those who decide to still pick up OT.

Agree. There's gotta be accountability for people who are members of the union, but yet do not follow the union's direction. Which completely erodes the whole point of a union.
