Nothing is ridiculous about it. And I have not been wrong. PSA 50 seat aircraft will get parked and the likelihood of it happening much sooner than planned, is increasing every day.

I am stating the realities of PSA's situation. You can bury your head in the sand if you want.

I am very forthright on the realities of those coming to Compass. Those with 0 121 SIC time are looking at a much longer upgrade times due to those coming in below them, taking upgrades despite being junior to them.
Compass will see its struggles increase. In a way, they already are.

The typical total attrition right now is 20 per month if you are the person at the bottom of the list. I really hope that attrition picks up, because that means pilots are leaving for better jobs. I think it will be 25+ by the end of the year. The same will be true of all regionals (adjusted percentage for total pilot group, of course).
If we add 3 airplanes a month, we will need to add about 30 pilots per month to cover those. If we fill 2 classes per month, half of the new hires will be for growth and half will cover attrition. Eventually, the number leaving will likely increase, and we will not be able to fill classes. That will happen everywhere. It will be interesting to see who falls first. My guess would be somewhere like Republic unless they have a great new contract.

Now that PSA has hired enough pilots to cover their inbound 900's and 700's, it appears those 50 seat aircraft will get parked much sooner due to the struggles all regionals are starting to experience in attracting candidates.
You could very well see a micro Endeavor style situation once they announce those 50 seat aircraft are on the way out. Depending on how this plays out, you could also see the 700's stay at Eagle... I mean Envoy.

That is not cheerleading, that is a fact. Pick something that is a real issue and write about it, and I will agree with you and back you up. This, however, is not one of those things.

Those with more 50 seat aircraft will go through this first. Most already are. Those with less 50 seat aircraft will go through it next, which is PSA's situation. Those will only 70 seat aircraft, will go through it last just due to the fact the mainline partners will want to keep those flying over 50 seat aircraft.
No regional is safe over the next few years. There are just situations each has that makes them more at risk than others to go through the regional reduction earlier.

Why do PSA cheerleaders want to hide the reality from prospective candidates?
Wait until they announce the 50 seat aircraft will get parked.
Street captains will make attracting a pilot with 0 121 time worse. It also leads to a longer footprint in upgrade training. Compass is going to start experiencing the same thing.
PSA is having exactly ZERO difficulty filling classes. Hiring and staffing is not a problem. Expect street captains to be announced within a month, and that will fix the captain problem.
