I absolutely do not think it is unreasonable, unlikely, but not unreasonable. I think the NC is thinking along the same lines. The company IS being completely unreasonable by not even entertaining the idea of negotiating any backpay. In this environment??? They aren't in control anymore and they are crying like little b!tches because of it.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
All the regional managements know that once one of them raises pay and benefits, the cat is out of the bag and they ALL will have to to remain competitive. Much like when PSA voted in concessions setting the bar lower (hopefully temporarily).
Management knows that time is short, and is not on their side. Hold the line, this profession is counting on you. If you hold the line, Major Airline mgt will eventually HAVE to raise the rates they pay the regionals or their business model will have to change. It should.

Preach it!! The end result here will set the tone for all other negotiations going forward. RAH pilots have drawn their line in the sand, no more retreats, no more concessions. No one else has the staffing or the aircraft to replace us except mainline. And if you think they aren't concerned as to how this is going, think again. Its time for ALL of us to be paid what we deserve. We do the same job, time to pay up.

As much as id like to see a new and great cba, its never going to happen. Bedford and co. will shut the place down before paying us what we are worth. The truth is that the demise of rah and bedford is a great thing for the industry. It will be painful for myself and many pilots trying unsuccessfully to leave. Rah is finished. The only question is how long will it take.

From the article:
This rule was enacted (among other reasons) to weed out bottom-feeder, dirtbag operators.
It's good to see that it is working.
Bedford needs to be thrown out on his ass and RAH headquarters needs a good housecleaning so the hard-working crews that hold RAH together can finally not be ashamed to tell people where they work...and can earn enough to pay their bills.

If I may add: with greed comes stupidity; BB needs to resign or be shown the door. He is a big baby.

This is the company's way of negotiating. Don't let it spook you.
What else would you expect them to do? Divide and rule isn't exactly a new concept. United we stand.
I saw the union email (still have a lot of friends stuck at RAH). Read it and take it to heart.
At the Aerocrewsolutions job fair, about a week ago, exactly 3 out of 200+ were there for the regionals. I'm betting none of them were for Republic. I know one guy went to Envoy because he lives in Dallas.
Trust the NC.
