My point was to challenge certain people (the burn baby burn crowd ). Challenge them to "take the money and run". IOW, if they hate RAH so much, "take the money and run". Me? I'm a lifer, I've accepted it. My life doesn't revolve around aviation. I make my money elsewhere; this is insurance, stability etc.
If i hated RAH like them, I'd be gone.
How many new hires is this going to get through the door? Once Shuttle America goes away upgrades are going to stagnate...again. How far have upgrade times dropped in the last 6 months? 20 numbers? That's not going to cut it. Republic needs 300 pilots tomorrow just to be short staffed with the amount the aircraft should be utilized. Those are leases that still need to be paid. The aircraft being less productive is going to hurt the bottom line and this new ta could further propel the company towards bankruptcy.

The fact of the matter is BB waited way to long to "negotiate" (quotes cause that never actually happened) and now the airline will die (or at least shrink) from it. This all happened to all least 1 regional over the last 4 years.

It's already working. Republic has only cancelled 82 flights so far today.

And Envoy gets stuck filling in the gaps with 9300 series flights. Fortunately some guys are getting them as OT but most of the time our reserves have to cover it.

But how much flying has RAH already cut with the help their "partners" to get to that awesome number of ONLY 82 flights? That airline is still a sinking ship.

Not sure the recruits will offset the guys that are bailing after just holding out for the signing bonus.

While not required, a 4 yr degree is preferred at WN. 15 years ago was a whole different ballgame then now. With thousands of apps on file, they can be picky. Took me 6 years of applying, 2 degrees, and 3 job fairs to get into the hiring pool there now. Hoping for a class date soon so I can put the RAH nightmare behind me for good.

15 years ago was more stringent hiring standards than (two degrees are working wonders for you) today. 6 years of applying is because no one was aggressively hiring until 2 years ago. Welcome to the pool.
