As usual Kit does a crappy job of explaining things. The media sensalionist fruit is going after "Lions and Tigers and TRAINING FAILURES! OH MY!!!"
He doesn't explain that a check failure is much different than say, getting a failing grade in school. The FAA chases after DPEs that have too high of a pass rate. They chase after APDs for the same as well. Failures exists because the FAA mandates it. It has very different meaning to the general public because the can only liken it to school failures.

Is there a cut off at the majors for training failures? Say three primary or a X amount of 121/135 issues?

I disagree. I don't know much about Kit Darby but the media is being fed good pieces of factual information, they don't need to get it all at once. Before long, some reporter will do an investigative report and be able to connect all the pieces.

Yes. Otherwise they wouldn't ask on the application. You'll have your chance to interview though and provide explanations and lessons learned.

Yes. Typically the legacies won't accept more than 3 failures. Some of the LCCs will take up to 4.

Well maybe you should research Kit a bit more. He is attached to several national flight schools and is financial bias is to fill those schools up. Careful thinking he is on "our" side.

I don't. But I don't care enough to research Kit Darby. However I didn't hear anything in that particular clip that would make me say he is lying.

Interesting. You believe to have influence one must lie? That explains a lot about you on here.

No, you were blathering on about something where you don't like the guy. I simply stated I watched this single clip and found it factual.

I can tell you though that you are gearing up for another public spanking by me today if you don't cool it.

So because he isn't explicitly lobbying for the pilots, he's evil? The only thing I cringed at in the that video was explaining that failures happen in aviation and, in itself, isn't a single sign of safety lapses.
