I would guess first class is most likely some former envoy quasi scab, who left for PSA, was probably one of the 50% of captain washouts, realizes his career is fried, and that he could have flown to AA from envoy even as as FO, now has to justify his poor decision making by creating useless future predictions that have no bearing on reality.
