He played college football for a school you probably couldn't get accepted to (did you even go to college?).

Also, not sure about prior121, but I'll gladly take my $7k 3rd year CA paycheck for December (flying more hours to get it than you do)...because, hour-for-hour, flying the EJet is insanely more enjoyable than getting banged around in a 50-seater, dealing with your ratchety falling-apart planes and all of your performance problems, and having to walk in shame hunched-over to a chemical toilet past a bunch of passengers who hold me in the same regard as a trash truck driver--because that's what 135s/145s are: trash that needs to be disposed of.

Not attacking you personally--just saying I've done my fair share of 50-seat "higher payrate" flying and, for me personally, I'll gladly fly more hours on vastly better equipment to get the same check as you.

135s/145s/CRJ-200s are a disgrace to the traveling public and I'm still shocked at the fact they're in service under the brand name of any US legacy airline.

No joke, I will say facebiter was pretty funny, this breezy guy seems like he's about to have a rage stroke.

Actually funny story, a few weeks ago I had to dead head on a 200 from DFW to IAH and even with that short flight and an alternate they were still 500 pounds over weight. I have no experience flying the 200 but that just blew my mind.

It happens quite frequently on SKW 200s out of PHX and LAX when there is weather. Last month in PHX I saw an instance of them being weight limited to carrying 45 pax to PSP. It's only an hour away...

These large 50 seater fleet carriers may have better pay and benefits but they aren't exactly knocking it out of the park in terms of passenger comfort and experience. It is hard to find satisfaction in what you do when costumers loathe your product and are practically held hostage in a sweat tube, as orchestrated by mainline.

Mesa's problems are the exact opposite. We provide a much better experience but our employees suffer the consequences of a spinless union and a subpar contract.

Yea its funny how that works. I'm not saying this is an excuse to have below average pay, but at least we have some job security. No one is buying 50 seaters anymore, the writing is on the wall for them.

That's what they said about the bro for the last 20 years. You guys talk like you're the only company flying Ejets. You're just the only ones flying them for sub-50 seat wages.

It's counter-productive. The only reason TSA gave away as much as it did as quickly as it did this time was because it started to feel the pinch of shrinking classes. If you can't recruit with SJS, you have to do it with dollar signs.
It's not a big secret that the crappier a regional's equipment/bases/upgrade times are the more a company has to offer. These are the times we're living in. Yes dollar signs are the only real solution but management has to come to that conclusion on their own no pilot group can force it. Hulas is even stingier than JO so I wouldn't go patting your self on the back too hard. TSA made a business decision and that's all it was. We can only hope the same thing will eventually happen at Mesa.

Mesa WILL eventually pay more. Supply and demand economics will take care of that. Buying ejets and not having pilots to fly them will force their hand very quickly.
And yes, I can still see 18-24 month upgrades here. More ejets and most likely CRJ's with our increasingly high attrition rate will do that. If a new hire doesn't want much reserve, they should definitely go to the ejet.
