Default Considering returning, any sugestions?

Hello fellow aviators, I am considering a return to aviation. I have been out since the shuttering of Comair. I am very leery about going back to a regional since I suffered for 10 years in the right seat at two of them. My bitterness has subsided somewhat and I am looking for a company that has (in order of importance) a west coast base, a quick upgrade, and reasonable quality of life. I am seeking honest responses. Thank you for you time.

If you've played the game you know how it works. Go to Compass and you could upgrade in a year or you could be stuck another 4 years in the right seat or back on the street in a year. They could just as easily shut down LA/Seattle and open a base in LGA. Roll the dice, maybe you'll get lucky maybe you won't. Horizon would at least give you a sure thing for a west coast base, you just have to cross your fingers that they plan on flying the Q400 long enough for you to reach your long term goals. If you spent time at Comair you know how this all works better than most people on here.

Compass, guys with zero 121 time are looking at 12-15 months for Capt. Guys with the 1000TT are bidding captain before initial training is done. By November however, it will stable out a bit for newhires with zero 121, may be more like 1.5-2 years. (still a fast upgrade), with 121 time? Still likely faster.
Or try and get on Virgin America with your time, hell even a legacy. Current? Degree?

Thank you for your response. Current: no. 121:10 years, 5000+. Degree: yes, BS AeroSci ERAU. I've spoken with my friends at the larger carriers and due to the fact I'm not current, they won't look at me.

Thank you for your response. Yes, I am all too familiar with the game. I am looking to get my foot back in the door and move on quickly. I'm not desperate, if things don't work out, I can/will easily return to what I'm doing now.
