Default Endeavor pilot progression

Question for Endeavor pilots:

I apologize for my ignorance, but I am currently flying 91/135 so I am an outsider. Considering jumping over to a regional for recent 121 experience in order to get picked up by a legacy faster. My understanding is that seniority is everything in 121.

Do many of you get hired with Delta outside of the current agreements you have for interview selection?

How about UAL or AAL? Do many get hired at these carriers?

UAL yes, AAL no, also not too many get hired outside of the SSP, maybe a dozen a year or so.

Getting hired outside the SSP was rare. Now that FO's can interview, it is very rare. There are still about 90 ( I think) this year that are going to Delta. 180 in 2016 and 2017, and then 240? Per year starting 2018. So from now until the end of 2018, about 700 pilots from 9E will be at Delta. That is about half of the airline. When you add in other pilots leaving to UA, AA, SWA, AK, FedEx, etc. there is going to be some fast movement. Well as long as we can get guys coming in at the bottom.

Except that the program will almost certainly be exhausted (the last pilot will have been interviewed probably by the end of spring if not sooner.) Under the current program, there will be enough with job offers to keep leaving through next year, and possibly a small amount in 2017. Delta has not hired at nearly enough of a percentage of SSP candidates to even talk about filling the quotas for 2017 or beyond. If they took almost everyone as was advertised sure, but since the success rate has been about 55%.... The program is almost finished with far less leaving than we were led to believe would go.

This is true. Program won't reach class dates into 2018.

Would DL still be required to hire the agreed number of pilots even when SSP ends? (As in they only had say 160 from SSP and need 240, so the other 80 come from 9E but not SSP candidate)

No. The hiring comittment is exclusive to SSP candidates.

Interesting. Wonder what will happen with the uSSP that wasn't put through.

What's the main reason for low SSP pass I wonder? Candidates not prepared for their call?

I think it's several factors. First, the program was sold to the pilots as if it were basically what PSA and American have. Walk in, shake hands, tell them you want the job, and get your class date. Instead we got the full Delta interview experience except for the shrink on day 2. Second (largely because of the first part) pilots showed up unprepared, because they expected the advertised handshake and a job. Third, Delta has unprecedented access to the pilot record files of Endeavor pilots. As part of the deal they got access to all training records, attendance records, and discipline records. That is a lot more than they get to look at from anyone off the street, and in my opinion, regardless of what Arnie K. says, they have already determined that several pilots won't be hired no matter how well the interview day goes. They are doing those interviews because they have to go through the motions. Fourth, they can't afford to hire a high percentage because there is nobody to replace outgoing pilots in great numbers. They need to keep Endeavor staffed during this process. Hiring 85-95% would drain this place too quickly to keep it viable in their minds. Fifth, They heavily prefer military to civilian, and most Endeavor pilots trying to leave have no military experience. Sixth, it's Delta, it's their culture... enough said.

Seven, there's a whole bunch of endeavor pilots with really bad attitudes of entitlement that delta realized and the interview panels were just thinking to themselves, "there's no way I want to fly a three day trip with two ocean crossings with this guy/girl!"
