A couple years ago at Great Lakes year 1 FAs made more than year 1 FOs. Their contract was arbitrated by judge that saw they didn't make enough, yet pilots will never get higher pay due to RLA.

(Before the fact checkers go nuts, this was before the last pilot pay raise when they added 135 flying and I am NOT saying FAs didn't deserve more......pointing out how horrible pilot pay situation is when even a judge can see FAs are underpaid)

The FA on the Hudson plane sitting in the back (the one the other 2 wouldn't speak to in all the interviews) did a great job of securing the back!!
How elitist of you.

Have you heard of Neerja Bhanot? Probably not.

She was as brave and as competent as you could ever dream of being. In this situation, I can see you cowering in the corner and peeing your pants.

Tell you what, just fly the plane and leave the thinking to those of us with at least average intellect.

BTW; No, I am not an FA

Plus the passengers would probably prefer that also.
Longevity has everything to do with it. It shows dedication. In case you haven't noticed, most employers pay more with longevity. If an FA has been with an airline for, i.e., 20 years, damn right he or she should be paid more than some snot nosed new-hire FO at a regional. That is what the job market dictates whether you like it or not.

BTW; FA's aren't there for your viewing pleasure.

So what are you? This post makes it clear you're not an FO. Just genuinely curious.

I don't even think the FAs believe our job is as simple as you seem to.

Also, why don't you think pilots should make more money? What's it to you? Are you also against raising the minimum wage? I bet you aren't.

Please don't entice this child any further....I too took someone's advice and decided to look through his past posts. He clearly has Down syndrome and is a flight simmer. Leave it alone..

A reminder about the anonymity of internet postings and why you shouldn't get too upset about what you read.

It's advice I forget myself periodically.

She didn't do anything FA duty wise, she did what all people should do protect other's. Unfortunately to many wussies in today culture. So I still stand by my comment, any waitress can be a flight att, and probably a better one. Delta and AA have flight atts. way up there in years.
