A couple years ago at Great Lakes year 1 FAs made more than year 1 FOs. Their contract was arbitrated by judge that saw they didn't make enough, yet pilots will never get higher pay due to RLA.
(Before the fact checkers go nuts, this was before the last pilot pay raise when they added 135 flying and I am NOT saying FAs didn't deserve more......pointing out how horrible pilot pay situation is when even a judge can see FAs are underpaid)

FA'S are waitresses, and by waitress I mean the one you get mad at yourself for even leaving a tip. They serve coke, pretzels then sit down and read till the last 15 minutes of the flight, then get phone ready so they can check Facebook upon landing. If there were no FAS in the back, I'm pretty sure it'd be all right. The FA on the Hudson plane sitting in the back (the one the other 2 wouldn't speak to in all the interviews) did a great job of securing the back!!
Have you heard of Neerja Bhanot? Probably not.

She was as brave and as competent as you could ever dream of being. In this situation, I can see you cowering in the corner and peeing your pants.
Tell you what, just fly the plane and leave the thinking to those of us with at least average intellect.
BTW; No, I am not an FA

Longevity has nothing to do with it. How much experience does one get by serving drinks for 20 years? Damn they could how two new younger hotter FAs for the price of one older FA and they will do just as good of a job of not better because they wouldn't be crusty old FAs. Plus the passengers would probably prefer that also.
BTW; FA's aren't there for your viewing pleasure.

Longevity has everything to do with it. It shows dedication. In case you haven't noticed, most employers pay more with longevity. If an FA has been with an airline for, i.e., 20 years, damn right he or she should be paid more than some snot nosed new-hire FO at a regional. That is what the job market dictates whether you like it or not.

I don't even think the FAs believe our job is as simple as you seem to.
Also, why don't you think pilots should make more money? What's it to you? Are you also against raising the minimum wage? I bet you aren't.

So what are you? This post makes it clear you're not an FO. Just genuinely curious.
