I know the LOA was an assist for LCA but why not fix the ambiguity for FO displacement windows too? The current contract has a conflict of clauses in chapter 25 that no one even tried to fix. Again, I realize that wasn't the goal of LOA 6 but the whole picture should have been looked at.

If they are going to displace us 6 days out, but allow us to trade, will we be pay protected?

Are they just going to drop the trip from our schedule when an IOE student is assigned and the LCA is locked into the trip? Will we lose our pay protection and have to pick up low time, short overnight garbage on open time?

Are they going to continue to interpret the "or" in the displacement language as an "and?"
Explains my point exactly. The grey area in contract language is not there for us to interpret, it is for the company to interpret and ultimately abuse.

More than likely it will pass since the majority at psa are fools.
What's wrong with the mid-trip displacement?

PDT voted yes for Eagle's EMJs... PSA voted yes for Eagle's CRJs
I feel really confident they will vote yes for a share of Eagle's flow.

I must be missing something here can you please highlight the language that states that the 12 month language has been officially removed.

That's contractually impossible at this point and I think you are confused regarding the flow-thru concept. That could only occur if AAG, Envoy management and Envoy ALPA agreed to give non-Envoy pilots inclusion rights to their flow agreements. IF PSA votes yes for anything that includes a flow mechanism, it wouldn't come out of Envoy's flow, but be in ADDITION to Envoy's flow.

As for one regional taking other carriers planes and flying in regards to AA, I've been repeatedly told by various pilots from multiple regionals (including Envoy) that no regional "owns" their flying (and thus the tools used to do that like planes) and it's AAG that owns them and assigns them as they see fit. Of course, it's of little surprise that those who make this claim usually are on the receiving end of that equation at the time.

It will never happen since you'll be displaced 6 days out, with no ability to trade, and you be sitting LCR with the companies loose interpretation of "or." The company has it all worked out to boost their reserves and not buy you off the trip while they force <11 hour overnights into your reserve schedule to cut you out of SAP. It's perfect for them.

But they had valid reasons for that. When it's in their favor it's not backstabbing, it's moving the industry in the right direction. They have a monopoly on voting to save their jobs/company because they're the "real" American Eagle.

We have uogrades anywhere from 2 months to a year. Then when you get a captain slot you aren't going to get displaced. So you have to suck it up for a year maybe? More flows = more seniority = more upgrades = more pay = more pic hours = less time at a regional.
There is no such thing as a free lunch. The company needs IOE clarification and we need more flow numbers. It's a win win. I't might suck getting displaced here and there. But it does help the student/company/IOE instructor out a lot. Plus if you get displaced you gave the option of doing nothing. Stay at home.
