They are coming here because they realize Envoy has turned the corner and is the only place to go if you want a guaranteed mainline job in 6 years.

You could go to a Mesa, TSA, Gojets or wherever and get that quick upgrade, get your 1000 PIC and sit there for 10 years before even an LCC might call you. I've got news for you. Envoy's upgrade is projected at about 2.5 years for someone hired today. So, I don't know how quick that upgrade at another bottom of the barrel company is really that much quicker than if you came to Envoy. Then, instead of waiting around 10 years to get hired at maybe an LCC, you go straight to the largest major airline in the world in 6 years. I don't know how you think you can beat that.

You may have heard but Republic is having trouble meeting their AA flight schedule. We are expecting some of their 175's to come here. Envoy continues to add to projected fleet count. Right now, we are at 155 aircraft by years end. That's about 15 above where we were projected to be by year end 2016. Not if, but when some of Republic's aircraft start showing up here, you'll see that fleet count continue to rise. With the 175 options out there, I wouldn't be surprised to see Envoy's fleet count get near 200 again at some point. It's obvious PSA isn't able to staff our CRJ's so I would expect those to continue being deferred indefinitely. Right now, they are deferred through the end of the year but unless PSA starts getting big numbers through the door, they aren't going anywhere.

All this means is many more Captain slots here at Envoy further dropping the upgrade time. And the flow continues unabated. We've already been notified that the flow isn't going to stop as Letter T pilots return to AA. Even flowing a few less this year and then getting back up to full speed next year still gets a new hire over to AA in six years.

You really need to evaluate what you post when you don't have facts.

Actually, when RAH dumps its old 170's, Parker is going to award most of Envoys confirmed 175's and all of its options to RAH under the re-negotiated CPA. Even talk of opening a DFW base in late 2016.....

Look at that.... I can make s#!t up too.

It's Monday morning and the Wilson/Neider team is in here eschewing propaganda while their airline is currently shutdown due to a power outage.

Step right up! Get your envoy brainwashing here! That's right, you are a nobody if you don't go to envoy now! There is no other option! It's the only way to the words largest airline(and crappiest). If you go to any other regional, you are stupid!!

Only a moron could say "I don't know what propaganda you speak of" and then spew out clear propaganda IN THE SAME POST!

I stopped reading after this. Let me ask you - do you have any idea how many young and fresh 1500 hour CFIs get a hard-on at the thought of just being asked by ANY regional to come work for them? Most people don't don't do the research! They come from pipeline programs at the CFI stage and all they know is that they are "eventually going to get to AA". Most don't know what a CBA is, or what the "in between" life is gonna look like. They just take whatever they gotta deal with for granted since it's their first airline and they don't understand that being on reserve for 2 years and upgrading in 4 is NOT normal anymore.

People need to seriously educate themselves thoroughly before picking any regional and especially the new kids on the block.

Oh they are well aware of how impressionable the younglings are. That is why they want to be able to freely spew their own version of "reality", the utopian one. That is why they attack places like this, that provide a venue for more accurate pictures to be painted. Scumbags, without conscience, they are.

Not exactly sure what you are saying there, maybe I am misreading the intent of your post, but 117.27 seems clear that if you have more than 3 CDO's, then they all must have a suitable rest place. Unless you are talking about off duty during the day.
A certificate holder may schedule and a flightcrew member may accept up to five consecutive flight duty periods that infringe on the window of circadian low if the certificate holder provides the flightcrew member with an opportunity to rest in a suitable accommodation during each of the consecutive nighttime flight duty periods. The rest opportunity must be at least 2 hours, measured from the time that the flightcrew member reaches the suitable accommodation, and must comply with the conditions specified in §117.15(a), (c), (d), and (e). Otherwise, no certificate holder may schedule and no flightcrew member may accept more than three consecutive flight duty periods that infringe on the window of circadian low. For purposes of this section, any split duty rest that is provided in accordance with §117.15 counts as part of a flight duty period.

Yeah, I don't get what he's saying either. A 4 day CDO trip is 3 duty nights which would leave two rest periods between those 3 CDO's. I don't see how a single hotel covers anything in that situation.

It doesn't make sense that a reserve guy would pick up a back to back CDO.
Haha which is why I said, so no one. Because no one will do that. Company was trying to get commuters to proffer for back to back CDOs to make reserve scheduling easier. However only senior reserves get the CDOs and they already live in base.

That's the rest period during the duty period. I'm not sure if he means that or something contractual after the duty period ends and before the next duty period.

So you are telling us that the recruiters are right now telling these new hires that our contract gets violated everyday, and they still want to fly here? Come on man. I know for a fact they leave that information out of the interviews and recruiting events.

Recruiting 101....Always tell them the best things. Never mention the worst.

I'm willing to bet money that none of these new hires know exactly what goes on here. They just know we fly jets, we pay them to fly, and they are jets.

I don't disagree with your points. But do you believe any other regional out there is any different while recruiting?
